Aston University is lively, welcoming and cosmopolitan campus based university situated in the centre of Birmingham, the second largest city in the UK. It was founded in 1895 and in 1966, received the Royal Charter to be a University from Queen Elizabeth II. The campus is home to five schools (Business, Engineering and Applied Sciences, Languages and Social Sciences Life and Health Sciences and the Medical school) which offer foundation, undergraduate, postgraduate taught and research programmes.

We offer great-value student accommodation in London. Packages are specially designed for students on university preparation courses at Kaplan International College (KIC) London, so you can find a fantastic place to live with us.

On Campus Accomodation Aston Student Villages guarantee Aston University campus accommodation to the first 30 full year Erasmus and Exchange student applicants, and also has a limited number of rooms for 1 term only students. This is allocated on a first come, first served basis and can be applied for https://www2.aston.ac.uk/accommodation
Off Campus Accommodation
Birmingham is fortunate in that it boasts a wide variety of alternative accommodation for students that are well connected by bus and rail links. For students who want to obtain a short-term private let, the Advice and Representation Centre (ARC) are available for guidance when choosing private accommodation and they run their own www.astonstudenthomes.org which is full of help and advice when choosing somewhere to live. ARC can offer you great advice from staff and students with a lot of experience in finding private accommodation. A lot of exchange (and full-time) students use this service, as they only list properties from university-trusted landlords. This website can be found at the following www.astonstudenthomes.org.
For privately rented accommodation, the average rent per week per room will vary from approximately £45 per week to £90 per week (shared accommodation). Students who will be accompanied by dependants are welcome to contact the Advice and Representation Centre ([email protected]) for advice.
Short-term lets
Please be aware that most accommodation contracts are for at least a full academic year, and many landlords/agencies are unwilling to take tenants for less than this. There are some, however, who are prepared to take short-terms lets, eg from exchange students, so ARC have compiled a list of properties to help you get started. You can obtain this list by[email protected]. We recommend that you search for your accommodation in advance. Please arrive in the UK early so that you can view properties and make arrangements as finding a short term let can be tricky. For a list of local hotels and hostels you can search online or [email protected].
Please remember that the University cannot recommend off-campus accommodation properties, but provides a list to help guide your search with the information available to staff at ARC. It is your responsibility to secure accommodation and find out what options may be available to you.
The following minimum requirements must be fulfilled to get admitted to Kaplan International College - Aston University
International students are considered on a case-by-case basis. There can be some additional requirements, depending on the program you are applying to. Please visit course information page to find the admission requirement.
Students are required to submit their original transcripts from their last attended academic institutions. If they are not in English, then submit the translated copies of the same along with the originals.
Should provide the certificate issued by the International Qualifications Assessment Service (IQAS) that compares educational credentials from other countries to educational standards in UK.
You need to submit your English language proficiency test scores if you are coming from a non-English speaking country.
Please note:- If you are not a UK citizen or a permanent resident of UK, you must obtain a valid study permit before you come to UK.
