Accommodation for new undergraduates
Our residences provide so much more than just accommodation. With pastoral support and 24-hour security, opportunities to get involved in green initiatives, drama and music productions or sporting activities and a great social calendar.

New undergraduate students looking to apply for accommodation in University residences will fall into two categories:

  • Guaranteed applicants - students who have firmly accepted an offer of study at Bristol and apply for accommodation in our first round of applications are guaranteed to be offered a place in our residences.
  • Non guaranteed applicants - students joining the University through clearing, as an insurance choice or have missed the guarantee deadline are not guaranteed to be offered a place in our residences.

Take a look at our accommodation guarantee page to find out which category you fall into and read the information available for the type of applicant you are.

Accommodation for new postgraduates
Choosing University allocated accommodation offers many advantages. All your bills are included in your rent, you don't need a UK guarantor and you don't need to go through the right to rent checks. University accommodation also provides opportunity for personal and academic development, and the support of a 24/7 pastoral team.
