IPS Age Limit
People with Indian nationality between the ages of 21 and 32 can write the civil service examination. But there are a few categories where relaxation is applicable.
IPS Qualification
Graduated students or students in the final year of their course are eligible to write this exam.
IPS Physical Standards
Male candidates must not be shorter than 165 cm, while for women, the cut-off height is 150 cm. Chest measurement for men should be at a minimum of 84 cm, and for women, it is 79 cm.
How many attempts can an individual take to clear this exam?
  • General category: 6 attempts till 32 years of age.
  • OBC: 9 attempts till 35 years of age.
  • SC/ST: Unlimited attempts till 37 years of age.
How can one enter the Indian Police Service?
One is by taking the civil service exam conducted by UPSC. Secondly, you can take exams conducted within the unit.
