PGWP Canada eligibility

PGWPs are open work permits given to international students who have graduated from Canadian programs.

Who is eligible for a PGWP?
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Have been a full-time student
  • Finished an 8-month or longer program of study
  • Have an official school document confirming completion of program
  • Present application maximum of 180 days after you officially finishing program
  • Have graduated from a PGWP-eligible school program.

It can take 80 to 180 days to process a PGWP.
