The Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) has been designed with consultation from industry to set you up for lifelong employability. By combining your BCom with a Bachelor of Arts, you can choose from a diverse range of majors and subjects in the arts, humanities and social sciences. You'll develop an in-depth knowledge and breadth of understanding, gaining the tools to think critically, communicate effectively and conduct independent research.

Medical science is the foundation that the practice of medicine is built on. This degree delves into how the human body functions and responds to disease and drug treatments. It incorporates facets of several scientific disciplines to provide you with an extensive understanding of the human body.

The Bachelor of Medical Science explores:

• The structure and chemistry of the cells that make up living organisms (cell & molecular biology and biochemistry)
• The structure and function of the human body (anatomy and physiology)
• The general processes leading to disease (pathology)
• The role of bacteria, viruses and other micro-organisms in disease (microbiology)
• Drugs which are used to cure human diseases (pharmacology)

• The structure and function of the brain (neuroscience).
• This degree provides the basis for a career in biomedical research and is also an appropriate first degree if you’re planning to progress to graduate medical or paramedical degrees.

Medical Microbiology

Study the smallest forms of life: bacteria, viruses, archaea, fungi and protozoa. These fascinating organisms cause disease in humans, animals and plants and spoil our food. On the positive side, they also turn the biological wheels on Earth and are responsible for the sustainability of life.

The Master of Financial Analysis is a specialist qualification that builds on your prior degree and substantial studies in accounting and/or finance. It will extend your understanding and abilities in financial analysis, giving you a solid grounding in high-level skills for the development of a wide range of careers, such as investment analysis, funds management, chief financial officer role or almost any career involving business analysis. Environmental engineers focus on the impact on the natural world by engineering activities. They combine their broad knowledge of engineering and environmental processes in identifying environmental problems and then developing effective solutions. They also coordinate the activities of various specialist groups such as biologists, ecologists and geologists within major projects.

Environmental Engineering embraces parts of Civil Engineering, with an emphasis on management, system design, water, geotechnical and transport engineering. It also covers aspects of Chemical Engineering, applied and biological sciences, and environmental studies.
