The UNSW Master of Development Studies is a two-year, full-time interactive degree that provides specialist studies in international development at the local, national and global level. This degree takes a participatory approach to the philosophy of human rights, social justice and community development.

You’ll learn the framework to understand the complexities of the geopolitical, economic, social, ethical, and cultural contexts in which development takes place. This double degree combines critical business knowledge from the Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) with aviation management skills, setting you up for a successful, global career in the aviation industry. 

When you combine studies in business and aviation you can supercharge your career in the aviation industry with a unique mix of skills. The commerce component of this double degree provides you with a fundamental understanding of general business principles and allows you to develop specialist knowledge in a business area of your choice.

The aviation management degree shares a common academic core with the flying stream, replacing flight training with a range of courses in management areas such as operations management, aviation economics, law and regulations, airline marketing and safety. Students are exposed to current aviation topics and often work in teams to solve contemporary air transport problems. Learning exercises range from operating a start-up airline in a management simulation to exploring the cognitive abilities of humans in the fast-developing environment of aviation.

The Master of Simulation & Immersive Technologies will equip you to become a future-ready design leader. You’ll graduate capable of understanding and meeting the growing demand for immersive practices across many industries.

This program offers a unique human-centric and design-led approach to technologies and focuses on human perception and experience. You’ll learn how, why, when and where to effectively utilise simulation and immersive platforms, including virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), mixed reality (MR) and extended reality (XR). Throughout the degree, you’ll engage with the latest technologies first-hand as you learn through real industry case studies and insights from global leaders.

This degree is designed to accommodate the needs of busy professionals from a wide range of backgrounds. You will choose to study fully online, or in blended mode with part-time and full-time options available. In blended mode, you will study core courses online and attend two intensive face-to-face meetups per year on-campus or at our industry partner facilities. You will also have full access to all campus facilities throughout your study.

This degree is designed for students who are passionate about both the Law and Computer Science, and are interested in learning about the connection between the two.

The Law degree aims to develop graduates who have excellent analytical skills, a capacity for scholarly research, effective oral and written communication skills, and a commitment to personal and professional development, ethical practice and social responsibility. Youll develop legal knowledge in a range of areas critical to the technology industry, including intellectual property, contracts, dispute resolution and litigation.

In addition, your computer science studies will focus on the design, development and application of hardware and software tools used in the development of computer applications.

Environmental engineers focus on the impact on the natural world by engineering activities. They combine their broad knowledge of engineering and environmental processes in identifying environmental problems and then developing effective solutions. They also coordinate the activities of various specialist groups such as biologists, ecologists and geologists within major projects.

Environmental Engineering embraces parts of Civil Engineering, with an emphasis on management, system design, water, geotechnical and transport engineering. It also covers aspects of Chemical Engineering, applied and biological sciences, and environmental studies. To get you work ready, you'll apply these skills through 60 days of approved industry training.
