UNSW’s Master of Environmental Management is a two-year full-time postgraduate degree that will prepare you for a career that tackles our biggest ecological challenges through change-leadership and sustainability.

In this master’s degree, you’ll learn to think about environmental problems through a number of lenses, forming a deep understanding of the socio-political influences that drive them.  In addition to the program’s key focus on conceptual tools, you will also develop experiential and practical skills to inform ethical and restorative sustainability leadership in a range of professional contexts.

The Bachelor of Landscape Architecture (Honours) is a four-year full-time degree.

  • Work experience is an essential part of this degree. You’ll complete up to 90 days of work experience consisting of a minimum of 40 days of supervised work in a landscape industry role and 40 days in a design office. The Master of Information Technology provides a broad-based IT education, and more specialised knowledge in up to two areas, enabling you to work in a range of positions in the IT industry.

Both degrees allow you to specialise, choosing from a range of disciplines, to pursue your career ambitions. This program will enable you to graduate with two Masters degrees after three years. If you qualify for advanced standing through Recognised Prior Learning you'll be able to complete both degrees up to a year and a half sooner meaning you could have two postgraduate degrees after just a year and a half.

The Bachelor of Computer Science/Fine Arts double degree provides technical and creative foundations for developing and using computer graphics and coded media. It allows you to specialise in either the technical or creative strand of computer graphics and associated fields.

Designed for students aspiring to work in the creative fields, the Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) is for those who are open minded, curious, and inventive and who wish to immerse themselves in their creative practice. In this degree, you’ll learn how to transform a design from a conceptual stage into a prototype and finally into a commercially viable product. You’ll integrate the knowledge gained from this degree into a framework and process that allows you to implement your designs, solutions and ideas in a commercial environment.

The UNSW Master of International Relations recognises the complexity and the globalised nature of today’s world, and is specifically designed to advance your understanding of global politics and foreign policy.  Through this degree, you’ll critically examine theories and issues in contemporary world politics. You’ll explore international security, great-power rivalry, regional conflicts, nuclear proliferation, global environmental politics, civil conflict and terrorism, human rights, gender politics, international political economy, development and other pressing international issues.

This double degree is designed for students wishing to pursue a career in either Engineering or Biomedical Engineering. The Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) will provide you with a solid background in mathematics, natural sciences and computing which give you knowledge and skills in your chosen engineering discipline specialisation.

Biomedical Engineering applies engineering principles to the development of technologies and solutions in a range of healthcare-related fields, including implantable bionics, drug delivery systems, medical imaging, radiotherapy, orthopaedic devices, robotic surgery, cell and tissue engineering, physical rehabilitation and others. This double degree is currently offered for select specialisations only.

Key features

When you study this degree you’ll graduate with a specialised knowledge in Biomedical Engineering and a related Engineering specialisation unique to your interests and professional aspirations. With two degrees you’ll increase your knowledge of engineering by studying across two disciplines, one being Biomedical Engineering.

The globally recognised Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) degree is accredited by Engineers Australia and acknowledged by the Washington Accord.

This degree includes a practical component where you’ll apply your knowledge in practical settings through 60 days of approved industrial training in Australia or overseas. Industrial training will give you a taste of a real-world professional engineering setting and the hands-on experience to hit the ground running.

When you study engineering at UNSW you can take part in the ChallENG Program. This unique program connects students, academics and industry to exciting, real-world, project-based learning initiatives. The program will prepare you for your future career by helping develop technical and design skills and expanding your professional expertise.

UNSW’s Bachelor of Commerce/Arts is a double degree that will equip you with business experience and expertise, combined with the creativity, analytical and critical thinking skills that come with an arts degree. The Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) has been designed with consultation from industry to set you up for lifelong employability. By combining your BCom with a Bachelor of Arts, you can choose from a diverse range of majors and subjects in the arts, humanities and social sciences. The Psychological Science/Law double degree is a five-year program (full-time) and provides an opportunity to obtain two degrees suited to law students who also have an interest in the study of psychology.

The Law degree aims to develop graduates who have excellent analytical skills, a capacity for scholarly research, effective oral and written communication skills, and a commitment to personal and professional development, ethical practice and social responsibility.

The Law courses satisfy the requirements for the award of the professional LLB degree, while the Psychological Science component allows students to complete an accredited Psychology degree, with the option to apply for an additional Honours year in Psychology.
