Translational Biomedical Sciences is a program that provides diverse training in life sciences, mathematics, statistics, and the physical sciences. This major’s bench-to-bedside focus translates innovative basic science data to improved biomedical and clinically-related outcomes, by turning scientific innovations into diagnostic tools, therapeutics, etc. Students are immersed in cutting-edge research within faculty laboratories while learning the underlying molecular concepts that drive cellular and organismal systems.

The Master of Arts (M.A.) in Criminal Justice prepares students for leadership positions in criminal justice agencies; for research positions in federal, state, county, city non-profit and private research institutions; and for further study in doctoral programs. This program aims to help students develop their skills to use research to evaluate the effectiveness of programs aimed at preventing and controlling crime. Upon degree completion, graduates will have an understanding of the causes of crime, of the impact of law on society and of contemporary issues in policing, courts and corrections.

Our Master of Arts in Mathematics provides an opportunity to pursue advanced study in mathematics and develop the skills to help lead you to success in today's technologically-oriented society. Whether the goal involves applying mathematics to solve problems in business and industry, teaching in higher education, preparing for further graduate study in mathematics or related fields, or working in a rapidly the growing field of big data analysis as a statistician, this program enables each student to pursue a course of study that is appropriate for their interests.

To address these varying interests, we offer three concentrations: Pure Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, and Statistics.

The faculty are invested in providing an excellent education and enriching research-service opportunities for our students.  Our goal is to develop future leaders who demonstrate technical competence and are major contributors for the development of a sustainable world.  We provide an innovative hands-on curriculum to raise a cadre of students who embrace diversity and are ready for solving the Grand Challenges facing the world today and tomorrow. We offer an ABET-accredited Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering, and a minor in civil and environmental engineering.

The Liberal Studies: Humanities/Social Science major offers you the opportunity to pursue multiple areas of study in the humanities and social sciences. The major gives you the ability to combine two academic areas into one flexible and comprehensive Bachelor of Arts degree, creating a truly multidisciplinary education.

A  full range of theatre and dance production opportunities complements coursework and allows students to develop performance and production skills by creating live theatre.  All students may participate in the department's annual faculty-directed mainstage and/or student productions. These projects provide students with practical experience as performers, directors, designers and technicians, and enhances skills learned in the classroom.

Concentration in Acting
Focus on dance and singing to become a multi-disciplinary, diverse independent artist. Train in movement, voice, script analysis, psychological acting, directing and literature.

Movement is paired with cutting-edge vocal work including Linklater, Fitzmaurice and Roy Hart techniques. We fuse voice and physical work with psychological acting based in original Stanislavsky teachings.

Our M.S. in Data Science prepares graduates with a degree in a STEM-related field for a career in data science. The program provides a strong background in data mining, modeling, and statistical and machine learning. In our curriculm, we build on industry needs, as well as guidelines of the Commission on Accreditation for Health Informatics and Information Management Education (CAHIIM) and the Technology Accreditation Commission of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET).

As a student, you may declare a concentration or choose from a variety of electives to increase your knowledge of computer science, statistics or visual Science.

The Entrepreneurship Program's mission is to educate the Rowan University students to understand global economic, social, political, and environmental events, problems and opportunities as they impact emerging enterprises, non-profit entities and corporate extensions.

AACSB Accredited, our students are encouraged to understand entrepreneurship from global, national, local, and individual firm level perspectives and to learn the dynamics through which innovative individuals and teams recognize opportunity and decide to take action to create, finance, grow, staff, lead, motivate, and sustain their new ventures to create wealth and to enrich the world.

The Management degree prepares students for meaningful positions in management by providing them with a foundation for career growth. The management program is designed to provide a strong foundation in both traditional and innovative management skills in the areas of leading and supervising others, communicating clearly, and being able to analyze and solve organizational problems using both quantitative and qualitative information. It includes traditional classroom instruction, simulations, "real world" internships, lectures by management practitioners and working with academic advisors to develop and implement a course of study which meets each student's individual needs.

Students enrolled in the management program are expected:

• To learn important concepts, skills and techniques focused on leading and supervising other workers
• To be able to collect and evaluate relevant information - ethical, quantitative and qualitative - necessary to solve organizational problems;
• To use critical thinking skills to design and implement solutions for organizational problems
• To improve their oral and written communication skills
• And to build their knowledge of how to design effective workplace teams.

Concentration in Musical Theatre
Become a well-rounded theater performer, not just a voice in a chorus. Meet with a private vocal instructor every semester for intensive singing lessons to best prepare you for auditions.

Unlike traditional programs, you will develop skills in all aspects of performance and overlap with Dance, Acting, and Design/Tech majors. Learn about acting, script analysis, movement, dance, improvisation, literature and musical theater history.
