The mission of the Psychology Department, as part of the College of Science & Mathematics at Rowan University, is to provide a high-quality education to undergraduate and graduate students, engage in cutting-edge research in a variety of disciplines and sub-disciplines within psychology and to provide services to children and their families in the South Jersey region.

To achieve our mission, the department at Rowan University offers two undergraduate degree programs: Bachelor of Arts in Psychology (33 credits) and a Bachelor of Science in Psychological Science (60 credits).

An MBA Concentration in Data Analytics is an ideal option for those that want a career that draws on their abilities to develop problem-solving strengths and decision-making skill sets through the use of data analysis, statistical models, and other quantitative methods. Data analytics takes a deeper dive into datasets than business analytics. Data analysts have the opportunity to gather, prepare, clean, and present data to business leaders in a clear and concise manner that allows executives to make tough business decisions. This is a fast growing industry with a great demand for highly skilled workers.

Data analytics skills are in demand internationally by all industries. Long term career goals might include positions such as business intelligence analyst, data analyst, data scientist, data engineer, big data engineer, or data analytics consultant.

The Bachelor of Science (BS) in Psychological Science is a degree designed for students who are interested in pursuing research-oriented careers that may or may not require graduate level training such as experimental psychology .

Our curriculum is designed to provide our students with breadth and depth of knowledge in psychology as well as professional skills in research both inside and outside of the classroom. Along with other foundation courses, the degree requires a year-long research course sequence (i.e. Advance Research I and II) that provides students with the opportunity to conduct a human subjects research project from beginning to the end. The BS in Psychological Science major consists of 60 credits in psychology, 4 credits in Calculus, and 4 credits in Biological Science.

Our Master of Science (M.S.) in Pharmaceutical Sciences prepares you for a career in the highly interdisciplinary field of pharmaceutical sciences. The field of pharmaceutical science involves the integration of concepts from organic chemistry, biochemistry, physiology, pharmacology, and molecular biology for the design, and synthesis of drugs as well as for understanding the mechanism of drug action. As a practitioner in this field, you may work on the discovery and development of novel drugs, creating efficient use of existing drugs, and lowering the cost of therapy employing less expensive protocols for manufacturing drugs.

Studio art prepares you to confidently enter the professional world of art as an illustrator, designer or fine artist, or continue your education in a graduate program.

Molecular and Cellular Biology focuses on the study of the processes that govern living organisms. Comprehensive curricula cover theory and laboratory methods, allowing students to carry out and understand molecular and biomedical research. The program provides students a solid foundation in the life sciences preparing them for careers in the highly competitive health professions programs such as medical school, dental school, and pharmacy school, nursing, biotechnology and pharmacuetical industry positions.

Our Master of Music provides intensive experiences in performance, conducting, or composition, as well as courses geared to enhance your knowledge and understanding of the literature of your area of concentration - and a greater understanding of music in general.
