Molecular and Cellular Biology focuses on the study of the processes that govern living organisms. Health Promotion is a process of supporting, training and encouraging others in the pursuit of well-being in all dimensions of a person's life, including Social, Physical, Emotional, Occupational, Intellectual, Environmental and Spiritual. Personal health behavior is significant, as individuals are encouraged to adopt and maintain positive lifestyles through a variety of awareness, educational and motivational strategies. The program incorporates the Dimensions of Wellness philosophy as endorsed by the National Wellness Institute.

Students are prepared to facilitate wellness programs that address the overall well-being of individuals and groups. This program also emphasizes the management of health promotion and wellness interventions, preparing students with the administrative and business skills they need to successfully implement HPWM programs.

The Rowan Health Promotion and Wellness Management (HPWM) program is nationally accredited by the National Wellness Institute. It was one of the first programs awarded the Distinguished Undergraduate Program Award  by the National Wellness Institute.

Our M.A. in Higher Education Administrative track is designed to serve professionals without any experience in higher education administration, but who aspire to careers in that field; as well as those who are already practicing administrators in a college or university who wish to upgrade their skills.

Graduates of our Administrative track often pursue higher education careers in student affairs, including residential life, admissions, academic advising, student activity programming, and service-learning/volunteerism.

The Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Mathematics consists of 120 semester hours. The major requires students to take courses in logic, physics, computer science, and applied and theoretical mathematics. The B.S. degree is designed to give the increasing number of our mathematics majors that do not intend to be teachers, the opportunity to prepare more thoroughly for graduate work in mathematics and other disciplines, such as engineering, the physical sciences, statistics, computer science, and areas requiring extensive mathematical training. The requirements for this degree are also flexible enough so that students intending to seek employment in business, industry, or government can pursue courses of study that will allow them to enter their professions familiar with more of the relevant mathematics. The program is designed to allow students to study the mathematics with flexibility, breadth, and depth.

Translational Biomedical Sciences is a program that provides diverse training in life sciences, mathematics, statistics, and the physical sciences. This major’s bench-to-bedside focus translates innovative basic science data to improved biomedical and clinically-related outcomes, by turning scientific innovations into diagnostic tools, therapeutics, etc. Students are immersed in cutting-edge research within faculty laboratories while learning the underlying molecular concepts that drive cellular and organismal systems.
