The MA in Diversity and Inclusion will educate professionals who can help create diverse workspaces where innovation can thrive when people are able to work, volunteer, and govern because of their differences. Rooted in ethnographic methodology, the program will provide students with knowledge and methodologies to help specific organizations or institutions work towards building diverse and inclusive communities. This work requires deep knowledge of cultures, history, ideas, social structures, institutions, and politics, the breadth of what Humanities and Social Sciences has to offer.

The Department of Biomedical Engineering is one of the fastest-growing departments in the nation providing solutions to global challenges of today and tomorrow to improve quality of life. Our M.S. in Engineering effectively prepares professionals to respond to the changing needs of engineers today. Our students complete higher level coursework in technical topics and develop and demonstrate applied skills in research, teaching, and communication - all of which leads to an advanced engineering degree. Our program provides you with the necessary knowledge, skill set, and training to be leaders in the engineering workforce.

Novel independent research, conducted under the supervision of a faculty mentor, is an option (thesis-track) and will culminate in publication(s) in peer-reviewed scientific journals, presentations at scientific conferences, a thesis, and the potential generation of intellectual property.

The B.A. degree program in Chemistry is designed primarily to prepare graduates to teach at the high school level. To follow this career path, a student must also earn a B.A. in Education. Both degrees must be selected upon entrance to Rowan.

This program may also be taken as a stand alone degree. It provides the foundation for science-related careers in industry and government, including forensics. The B.A. program also provides excellent preparation for students who plan to apply for medical, dental, veterinarian, pharmacy, and optometry schools.

The Rowan University Mechanical Engineering (ME) Program offers an innovative and student-centered program, incorporating leading-edge educational methods that blend theory with engineering practice. The program provides students with a strong foundation in mechanical engineering science and design, and emphasizes the development of effective communication, teaming skills, and professional responsibility, in preparation for a career in a diverse global workforce.

Throughout the curriculum, students are exposed to mechanical engineering methods using hands-on state-of-the-art experiments, modern computational tools, and problem synthesis and solution approaches. The mission of the finance program is to provide students with challenging career-oriented undergraduate and graduate preparation needed to be successful in finance careers and to pursue graduate studies.

Finance career opportunities may be sought in such areas as financial analysis, cash management, credit analysis, pension and investment fund management, capital budgeting analysis, investment and commercial banking, and securities management.

Our Master of Music provides intensive experiences in performance, conducting, or composition, as well as courses geared to enhance your knowledge and understanding of the literature of your area of concentration - and a greater understanding of music in general. Our program is tailored for aspiring musicians who wish to make a career as a performer, conductor, or composer.

The Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Mathematics consists of 120 semester hours. The major requires students to take courses in logic, physics, computer science, and applied and theoretical mathematics. The B.S. degree is designed to give the increasing number of our mathematics majors that do not intend to be teachers, the opportunity to prepare more thoroughly for graduate work in mathematics and other disciplines, such as engineering, the physical sciences, statistics, computer science, and areas requiring extensive mathematical training. The requirements for this degree are also flexible enough so that students intending to seek employment in business, industry, or government can pursue courses of study that will allow them to enter their professions familiar with more of the relevant mathematics. The program is designed to allow students to study the mathematics with flexibility, breadth, and depth.

Our M.A. in Writing encourages you to explore the principals of craft and the practices of writing. As a graduate student, you have the opportunity to focus on a central area of interest or create a diverse course of study that explores the intersections between creative writing, professional writing, new media, journalism, writing studies, and writing pedagogy.
