International students can now apply for the academic year 2024-2025 fully funded Chevening Scholarship UK for master's, including accommodation, airfare, and tuition fees. It's a fantastic opportunity for master’s degree applicants. Apply before November 7, 2023.

Chevening is the UK government’s international scholarship program, funded by the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office and partner organizations. This scholarship is for students looking to study master’s at a university in the UK. test change

 

Chevening Scholarship allow outstanding emerging leaders worldwide to study for one-year master’s degrees in the UK. This prestigious scholarship is for applicants from a Chevening-eligible country or territory.

 

The scholarship rewards tuition fees, living expenses, round-trip economy class airfare etc. The 2024-2025 Chevening Scholarships applications are open from 12 September 2023, and you can apply till 7 November 2023!

 

Scholarships can be used for one-year master’s degree courses eligible for a Chevening Scholarship. For example, Master of Accounting, Master in Management, Master in Finance, etc.
 

To choose the eligible master’s degree programs for Chevening Scholarships, you can use the course finder tool at every university across the UK.

 

Students who are awarded Chevening scholarships can pursue an MBA program. There will be a reward cap of £22000 for only pursuing an MBA degree.

 

Documents Required to Apply for UK Chevening Scholarships

 

Chevening applicants need to submit all the education documents like degree certificates or degree transcripts, references, and one unconditional UK university offer letter.

 

UK Chevening Scholarships Eligibility

 

To qualify for a Chevening Scholarship, you must meet the following criteria:

 

  • Hold citizenship in a country or territory that is eligible for Chevening.

 

  • Commit to returning to your home country for a minimum of two years after completing your scholarship.

 

  • Have successfully fulfilled all requirements for an undergraduate degree that qualifies you for admission into a postgraduate program at a UK university. 

 

  •  Have at least two years of work experience, which amounts to approximately 2,800 hours.

 

  • You must apply to 3 different eligible UK university programs and receive an unconditional offer from one of them before the application deadline specified in the timeline.

 

Work Experience Required to Apply for UK Chevening Scholarships

 

Before applying to the master's Scholarships for International Students, you must check the minimum work experience requirement.  Chevening Scholarship applicants must require at least two years of work experience.

 

Eligible types of work experience

 

  • Full-time employment

 

  • Part-time employment

 

  • Voluntary work

 

  • Paid or unpaid internships
     

Your job must be completed before, during, or after graduating from your undergraduate studies. Also, you can submit up to 15 different employment periods to meet the work experience requirement.

 

Who can apply for a Chevening Scholarship?

 

Applications for fully funded Chevening Scholarships to study for one-year master’s degrees at UK universities do not require to meet any gender, age, religion, marriage or parenthood status, caste, etc. criteria. All that matters is your ability to submit a thoughtful application that exhibits your capability to pursue a master’s course in the UK.

 

What does a Chevening Scholarship cover? 

 

The Chevening Scholarships to study abroad will cover your entire tuition fee, flight ticket to and from your country, arrival allowance, visa application cost, departure allowance,  up to £75 for TB testing, travel top-up allowance, and monthly living allowance (stipend) to cover your accommodation and living expenses. The amount will vary as per the city. 

 

Chevening Scholarship Eligible courses

 

UK Chevening scholarships are available for master's degree applicants across the globe. In order to be eligible for the Chevening scholarship UK, you choose must be full-time courses, must start in the autumn term (usually September/October), it should be masters, not research-focused MRes programs, and must lead to a master’s degree qualification.

 

Chevening Scholarship 2024 - Application process

 

In order to be considered for the Chevening Scholarship India, potential candidates must complete and submit their application online by the specified deadline set. It is important for applicants to select the appropriate application form based on their country of origin, as it may differ from one country to another.

 

How to apply for the Chevening scholarships?

 

  • Students may apply to three different master's programs covered by Chevening scholarships at Chevening partner institutions.

 

  • Through the online application system or the OAS, you can apply for the Chevening scholarship UK.

 

  • Answer all the required questions (100-500 words).

 

  • Submit required student documents in the prescribed format. (JPG/PNG/PDF).

 

  • Save the Chevening scholarship 2024/25 applications.

 

  • According to Chevening guidelines, all applicants must submit an online application by 1 November 2023.

 

UK Chevening Scholarships Application Timeline

 

The application process takes around 8 months. Check out the overview of the application and selection process :
 

  • 12 September 2023:  UK Chevening Scholarships application started.

 

  • 7 November 2023:  Last date for submitting applications.

 

  • 8 November 2023: Application shortlisting as per the eligibility criteria.

 

  • Mid-November to December 2023: Independent reading committees assess all eligible applications. 

 

  • Early To Mid-February 2024: Shortlisting of applications for interview.

 

  • February 2024: Document submission.

 

  • 26 February To 26 April 2024: Interviews.

 

  • From June 2024: Results will be announced.

 

  • 11 July 2024: Deadline to submit at least one unconditional UK university offer letter.

 

  • September/October 2024: Students will begin their studies in the UK.
