Imperial College London, a renowned research university in the United Kingdom (UK), unveiled its largest-ever scholarship program on Wednesday. The initiative aims to support highly skilled Master's students from India. Over the next three years, the program will assist 30 of India's most talented scholars. 

The launch of the Future Leaders Scholarship program follows the visit of Dr. Jitendra Singh, the Minister of Science and Technology, to the university earlier this year. The program is specifically designed to nurture the potential of the upcoming generation of science leaders from India, ensuring an equal representation of both male and female scholars.

Professor Peter Haynes, the vice-provost responsible for Education and Student Experience at Imperial College London, expressed that the Future Leaders Scholarship aims to provide a platform for exceptionally gifted students from India to enhance their academic pursuits and broaden their horizons by studying at one of the leading global universities.

In addition to introducing the fresh scholarship initiative, the university has developed a new collaboration with the UK government's Chevening Scholarships program. This partnership will support an extra three Indian students pursuing Master's degrees over the next three years.

What does the scholarship cover? 

The scholarship will encompass all expenses, including tuition fees and living costs. It will be available to students specializing in engineering, natural sciences, business, and medical research at the Master's level.

What is the deadline for Imperial College London Scholarship application?

It is worth noting that all prospective students who have submitted their application to study at Imperial College London and receive an offer by May 11, 2024, will automatically be considered for the Future Leaders Scholarship. However, if you're applying for the Imperial College London-Chevening Scholarship, the deadline for this year's applications is November 7, 2023, so make sure to keep that in mind.
