The regular registration process for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2024 at the Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru, will end today, October 5th, 2023. Candidates who are interested and eligible can go to the official website for GATE 2024, which is gate2024.iisc.ac.in, to complete the registration process. Previously, Gate 2024 registration last date was September 29th, 2023.

Alternatively, candidates can submit their applications until October 13, 2023, with an extended deadline. It is important to note that applications submitted after October 5 will be charged a late fee. According to the schedule, Gate exam form correction date 2023 will be open from November 7 to November 11.

The process of verifying GATE 2024 application forms began on September 30th and is scheduled to be completed by October 31st. In case any of the applicants' forms fail to meet the specified criteria for elements like photographs, signatures, photo IDs, or category certificates, they will be categorized as "defective." The candidates who are affected by this will be given an opportunity to rectify these mistakes so that their applications can proceed for further assessment.

The GATE 2024 Exams are scheduled to take place at IISc Bengaluru on February 3, 4, 10, and 11, 2024. There will be two sessions for each exam, one from 9.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. and the other from 2.30 p.m. to 5.30 p.m. Candidates must appear for the exam according to their respective subjects.

The paper will be in the English language. Each document carries a maximum of 100 marks, with 15 marks allocated for General Aptitude (GA), which is applicable to all documents, and the remaining 85 marks assigned to the specific syllabus of each document.

Eligibility criteria for GATE 2024 

• Qualification details:  Applicants must have a bachelor's degree in engineering/technology or a master's degree in a relevant scientific field. Those in the final year of their qualifying degree can also take the GATE 2024 examination. Individuals who have acquired or are pursuing their qualifying degree from countries outside of India must currently be in their third year or beyond or have completed a minimum three-year Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technology, Science, Arts, or Commerce.

• Age restriction: For GATE 2024, there is no age limit.

• GATE attempt limit: No limit on how many times you can take the GATE exam.
