About the International Study Centre:
Your pathway to higher Education
There is a course at the International Study Centre to suit everyone's interests and career ambitions. Programmes are provided by Study Group in collaboration with the University of Huddersfield. From bachelor's to master's preparation, our courses are designed to help you meet the academic and English language requirements you need to study at the University of Huddersfield. With small classes and dedicated teaching and support, we will help you adjust to studying in the UK.

Once you successfully complete your programme at the International Study Centre and achieve the required grades, you can enter your chosen undergraduate or postgraduate degree.

Prepare for University:
You are a student at the University of Huddersfield from your very first day on campus. You’ll study and learn on campus and have full access to all University facilities, including the library, sports hall, and Students’ Union. At the International Study Centre, you will experience university-style teaching and develop your academic knowledge, English language level and employability skills.

International Study Centre:
The International Study Centre will help you take your first step towards a successful career. Based at the heart of the University of Huddersfield’s campus, we provide degree preparation programmes that are specifically designed for international students. Our courses will prepare you for the challenges of degree-level study and equip you with the academic knowledge, study and English language skills you need to succeed at the University of Huddersfield.

Live close to campus:
Most of Huddersfield’s student accommodation is located ten minutes or less from the University campus and the International Study Centre. You can choose between a variety of options, from shared rooms, to private rooms with an en-suite. Features may also include free Wi-Fi, gym, on-site laundry, game rooms and all-inclusive utilities. These features will vary depending on the accommodation you book.
Living close to campus will give you the opportunity to experience balanced student life . You will be able to easily access our classes and professors, facilities and student clubs on campus. All student accommodation benefits from secure access and many even have their own on-site manager and concierge for added assistance and security.

Huddersfield has great accommodation for students. Book with our preferred, recommended and approved accommodation provider, DIGS Student, and be guaranteed a room in halls of residence.

Aspley House and Little Aspley House
Both Aspley House and Little Aspley House have a range of accommodation.

• Castings House
  • You can choose between individual studio apartments and en suite rooms in shared flats.
• Saw Mill
  • Saw Mill offers accommodation in flats consisting of 7-10 en suite bedrooms with a shared kitchen and living areas, and studios with their own kitchenette and living area.
• Snow Island
  • Snow Island offers a range of en suite rooms in 3, 4, 5 and 6 bedroom flats with shared kitchen and living spaces.
• Firth Point
  • Firth Point offers en suite rooms in 4, 5 and 6 bedroom flats with shared kitchen and living areas.

Scholarships for your pathway programme and degree at Huddersfield:

• In celebration of the ten year anniversary of the University of Huddersfield International Study Centre, we are pleased to offer a joint scholarship opportunity with the University of Huddersfield. The scholarship will provide you with up to £10,000 in funding over the course of your time at Huddersfield.

How does it work?
Scholarships of up to £4,000 are available for students studying a pathway programme at the International Study Centre. These scholarships are awarded to students based on merit and are subject to availability. For more information, please contact your local representative.

Once you progress to the University of Huddersfield , the University then award scholarships of £2,000 each academic year to international students progressing from the International Study Centre. These scholarships apply to every year of your degree programme in the UK, except for placement years.

Am I eligible for the joint scholarship?
The scholarship is available to students studying the International Foundation Year , International Year One and Pre-Master’s programmes at the International Study Centre. At the University, you must be studying either a BA, BSc, BEng, MA, MSc or MBA to be eligible for the scholarship.

How do I get a scholarship?
The joint scholarship is available for self-funded students at UK universities, paying full overseas fees .
University scholarships are applied automatically on progression from the International Study Centre, with no application required.
