Navitas Group - Leicester University Global Study Centre

Welcoming the first cohort of students in September 2019, the Global Study Centre (GSC) provides tailored pathways into a wide range of undergraduate degree programmes, as well as a true University of Leicester student experience.

The pathway curriculum, developed in line with the University and to strict quality standards, has been designed for international students who fall just below direct entry criteria (English or academic).

Based within easy walking distance of the University of Leicester campus, the Centre encourages development, nurtures confidence and supports the integration of each student into student life in the UK.

Scholarship

Leicester Global Study Centre and the University of Leicester are delighted to launch the Progression scholarships available to students who successfully progress to their University of Leicester course. You don't need to do anything to apply for this bursary. If you're eligible for it, you'll be awarded the discount automatically. Check the list of countries and award criteria on each scholarship page below to see if you're eligible for one of these awards.

All courses

Principal award: 10% off tuition fees for each year of full-time study at the University, up to a maximum of three years.
Eligibility: awarded to the top 10% performing students on each pathway stream.

Global Study Centre High Achiever’s Award: £2,500 as a reduction in tuition fees for each year of full-time study at the University, up to a maximum of three years.
Eligibility: awarded to the top performing student from each Foundation pathway.

Science and Engineering related courses

CSE UG Scholarships Scheme: This will be open to Global Study Centre students progressing in Sept 2021. To be eligible for the £3,000 scholarship students must be from one of the listed countries and meet their progression requirements (50%).

Business related courses

ULSB UG Scholarship Scheme – Worth £2,000 (per year of full-time study). This will be open to Global Study Centre students on the International Year One Management and Economics and Management pathways progressing to ULSB courses in Sept 2021 (Politics and Economics BA is not included). To be eligible students must meet their progression criteria and be from one of the listed countries. They must also meet all the other conditions listed on the website.

ULSB India Academic Excellence Scholarship Scheme – Worth £3,000 (per year of full-time study). This will be open to Global Study Centre students on the International Year One Management and Economics and Management pathways progressing to ULSB courses in Sept 2021 (Politics and Economics BA is not included). Accomodation

Leicester has a large student population so there is a wide range of high-quality student accommodation available across the city. The Global Study Centre (GSC) team work closely with the University Accommodation Office to find the right place for each student to live, ensuring that students mix with other University of Leicester students, creating great social opportunities for all.

The City accommodation is close to the University campus, Global Study Centre and the city centre. If you choose to live in one of the three locations on offer, then you will also have the advantage of being close to a range of shops, bars, restaurants and cafes, as well as the train station.

The City accommodation is self-catered with supermarkets within walking distance, as well as a variety of food options on campus. You can also asdfjsdfjsdfjsdf catering credit to use in on-campus cafes and restaurants if you don’t think of yourself as a chef!

Booking Process

As a Global Study Centre student, you can make your room preference choices online whilst still on Conditional Offer status. You will receive all information and a Room Service booking portal link in an email, approximately 72 hours after you receive your Conditional Offer. You cannot log into the portal until you have a unique student ID, contained within the email.

If you book before 1st September 2020 then you will be guaranteed a room within one of The City accommodation blocks.

For students under the age of 18 on enrolment, it is mandatory for you to choose an en-suite room option. Once you turn 18, there is a contract break out clause, allowing you to choose alternative accommodation if preferred. For more Information Click Here
