About Full Sail University

Full Sail University began 1979 in Dayton, Ohio, as an audio recording workshop. It provided unparalleled opportunity for students to become familiar with the industry through real-world experience in professional studio environments. Full Sail eventually relocated to Central Florida, planting roots in its current Winter Park location in 1989. Its project-based, relevant educational philosophy was readily adapted to other fields in entertainment and media from filmmaking, to digital media, to entertainment business which combined time working on real-world environments with instruction by industry veterans. Today, Full Sail University offers associate's, bachelor's, and master's degrees designed for evolving industries across entertainment, media, art, and technology.

Full Sail University Accomodation

On-Campus Housing
Full Sail University has more than 30 apartment complexes within a five-mile radius of campus, many of which are within walking distance.

Although Full Sail does not offer on-campus housing or dorms, our Housing Resources department has established relationships with these apartment communities and can provide you with information about your options.

Download our Housing Guide provides useful information regarding rental rates, information on deposits, floor plans, pet fees, and general information about each complex. The Housing department can also provide you with information on setting up utilities, the application process, and even a roommate list of other Full Sail students looking to share housing.

Off-Campus Housing
Students have numerous options of finding an accommodation off-campus in nearby areas. Students can have access to studio apartments, paying guest facilities, sharing apartment complexes and many more.

Full Sail University Services & Facilities

Full Sail University is noted for its distinctive and 'Playful' setting in Winter Park, Florida. From the viewpoint of the parents, the institution is in a very student-friendly neighbourhood, as there are numerous universities nearby. It takes only 10 minutes to go to downtown Orlando and the neighbouring areas.

All students receive hands-on training at the Full Sail campus, which is comparable to a creative studio. Because of its project-based curriculum, the campus is usually buzzing with activity. The class size is small, allowing students to interact and collaborate well.

On campus, there are a variety of student organizations ranging from professional associations (Grammy, DECA) to artistic abilities and community service.

Full Sail University Admission Requirements

Students should keep in mind some standard requirements before applying to the Full Sail University:

The student should be at least 18 years old when beginning the course.
Students from non-English speaking countries must take language proficiency tests like IELTS, PTE, TOEFL, or other equivalent exams to prove their language efficiency.
Students need to submit original transcripts (translated if the originals are not in English) from all the academic institutions before making any application request.

A wonderful learning opportunity

Learning at the university was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. It's a lovely university with programs in practically every discipline imaginable. The student life on campus was fantastic. I was able to study in a multicultural setting where I learned a lot about the community and made lifelong friends. My teachers were all extremely knowledgeable specialists who were easy to talk to. They used to set aside time to answer all of our questions and assist us in any way they could. During my session, I attended numerous workshops and training sessions that assisted me in learning employability skills and other requirements.

The college was excellent

Studying at the institution, working part-time at the college, and engaging with the faculty has been an incredible experience. For applying for placements and internships, I received a lot of assistance from instructors and staff. The campus and facility as a whole are fantastic. My department had its own facility, complete with well-equipped modern classrooms and other necessary amenities. On-campus, the wi-Fi signal is also very strong. The college's placement cell is excellent. The college hosts a number of seminars and workshops. They also help students prepare for the future. With such a vibrant campus and a variety of sports to encourage extracurricular activities outside of academics, campus life is truly worth experiencing.

I had a good experience at Full Sail. I was able to focus on my classes and my grades were higher than my previous school. Instructors were very helpful in teaching me the ins and outs of the subject. I also had a great time in campus life.
