Adelphi University is no longer New York’s best-kept secret. We’re a strongly ranked, powerfully connected research university offering 120+ exceptional undergraduate and graduate programs through eight schools and colleges.
Founded in 1896, we were the first private, coeducational university on Long Island. Today, our main campus in Garden City and our dynamic learning hubs in Manhattan, the Hudson Valley, Suffolk County, and online are home away from home to a diverse population of nearly 8,000 students from 43 states and 64 countries.

Each of our seven residential communities offers support and convenience, as well as opportunities for personal growth, cultural exploration, and interaction with peers and staff.
Adelphi offers a variety of residential communities for specific interests.
Students may choose from a variety of residential options in our seven residence halls on the Garden City campus, including several available room types and special residential communities. Adelphi also attempts to provide special accommodations to meet the needs of students with disabilities. Please note that the cost of housing depends on the room type and/or community selected.

Admissions Requirements
The following requirements must be fulfilled to get admitted to the Adelphi University
- International students are considered on a case-by-case basis. There can be some additional requirements, depending on the program you are applying to.
- Students are required to submit their original transcripts from their last attended academic institutions. If they are not in English, then submit the translated copies of the same along with the originals.
- Financial support statement (original bank statement and sponsor letter).
- Passport identification page with machine readable code visible
- Applicants must be 18 years old at the time of the beginning of the course.
- You need to submit your English language proficiency test scores if you are coming from a non-English speaking country.
