UNSW’s Bachelor of Commerce/Arts is a double degree that will equip you with business experience and expertise, combined with the creativity, analytical and critical thinking skills that come with an arts degree. Both degrees offer flexibility, allowing you to shape your degree to match your ambitions and interests.

The Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) has been designed with consultation from industry to set you up for lifelong employability. By combining your BCom with a Bachelor of Arts, you can choose from a diverse range of majors and subjects in the arts, humanities and social sciences. You'll develop an in-depth knowledge and breadth of understanding, gaining the tools to think critically, communicate effectively and conduct independent research.

Business Economics(Major)

Studying economics will equip you with the analytical tools and critical thinking skills to understand and make an impact on some of our greatest global challenges. • Business Economics

    Use economic theory and quantitative methods to understand and analyse the financial, organisational and market-related issues faced by businesses.

• Behavioural Economics

    Apply insights about human decision-making and individual choices to business and policy scenarios.

• Economics and Finance  

    Study how individuals, firms, financial institutions and government interact in financial markets. Analyse economic decision making in the context of real-world events through this Master of Commerce specialisation.

• Applied Economics

    Prepare to become a professional economist. Gain advanced knowledge and practical skills in economics, as well as research and communications skills through the Master of Applied Economics. 

The UNSW Bachelor of Arts is a three-year degree when studied full time. As you develop your worldview through personalised course combinations, you’ll define a future life purpose suited to your passions and skills.

You can major or minor in Chinese, French, German, Japanese, Korean and Spanish – whether you are just starting or ready to build on existing skills.In addition to the languages we offer as majors, you can study a minor in modern Greek, Indonesian and Italian.

Medical science is the foundation that the practice of medicine is built on. This degree delves into how the human body functions and responds to disease and drug treatments. It incorporates facets of several scientific disciplines to provide you with an extensive understanding of the human body.

The Bachelor of Medical Science explores:

• The structure and chemistry of the cells that make up living organisms (cell & molecular biology and biochemistry)
• The structure and function of the human body (anatomy and physiology)

• The role of bacteria, viruses and other micro-organisms in disease (microbiology)

Molecular Genetics

In humans and all other species, genes influence every characteristic, from appearance to behaviour to disease. Molecular genetics is a specialised area that has had a major impact on the discipline. This major is ideal for students whose interests are in understanding and appreciating biological process at the molecular rather than the descriptive level.
