Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics

The fundamental aim of the Bachelor of Science (BS) in Applied Mathematics Degree is to provide students with a broad foundation in mathematics and the mathematical reasoning needed to pursue an interest in a specific field of intellectually activity outside of mathematics. The BS in Applied Mathematics gives students the tools to combine mathematics with another quantitatively rich subject area that is directly concerned with applications, such as the sciences, economics, or engineering. The BS in Applied Mathematics is recommended for those students who intend to pursue a career in a field that requires advanced mathematical training, often beyond an undergraduate degree. Such students are likely to continue their mathematical studies in a Phd or Master's program. The degree requires from 51 to 52 credit hours of course work.

On-campus employment usually enables students to stay on campus rather than having to commute to work. If a student lives on campus, this is helpful because work and classes are all in one location. This saves time and money on transportation while also helping with tuition.

Alexis Tinny

There are various motivations for students to work on campus. Working on campus allows students to engage with students, instructors, and staff who are interested in fields other than their own.

Mayank Shah

Students can use campus employment to enhance their portfolios and work skills, which will help them find jobs and flourish after graduation.

Great career service

I was impressed by the vast infrastructure and the College that surrounded me. I'd want to highlight the college's atmosphere, in which faculty members were encouraging and helpful. The college is committed to helping students grow into better people with strong values and a broad knowledge base. Several student development projects had a big influence on me. It's a terrific and joyful experience to be a member of the college. They serve wonderful food in a welcoming atmosphere. Make new friends on campus and have a good time. By preparing you for the real world, career services can help you with everything from career planning to resume writing to job searching.

I liked how welcoming the atmosphere campus was.

It creates a friendly atmosphere and strong bonds with pupils. Also, the building is fantastic, with fantastic classrooms, lecture equipment, and helpful departments that aid us with nearly everything we need. There are also many possibilities to develop your leadership skills, participate in activities, and volunteer. You can join a variety of clubs. Networking allowed me to discuss all of my issues, seek advise from others with more experience, and learn about new career opportunities. The on-campus accommodation is fantastic, and everything is well-kept and up to date. Scholarships are also available, and applications can be submitted. Teachers are usually friendly and willing to answer questions or assist students who are having difficulties.

Had fun on campus

This was an enjoyable experience; the professors made the lectures interesting and understandable, and the facilities were excellent. The campus is truly stunning, and the professors are actively involved in their lessons and truly interested in helping the students succeed. The class size is extremely small, so you can engage with each professor and learn on a more personal level. The students and staff on campus are quite friendly, and the campus is quite beautiful. I have been able to gain knowledge and expertise in a number of business disciplines through opportunities provided by the college. My interactions with alumni helped me progress professionally. Students can socialize and have fun on campus thanks to the variety of food and beverage options offered by amazing food services.

It was a great place for me to go to college.

It had all the resources that I needed to excel in the field of engineering. The campus was beautiful and safe. I remember the good old days when the football team of SUNY used to win the Division 3 national championship. The football team was my first love at the college. As a student, I had access to the world-class faculty. These professors helped me understand the real-world applications of things that I was studying in my classes. The campus also had lots of clubs and organizations. I learned that you can never stop learning. And that is the reason I’m so involved in the community even today.
