NYU Abu Dhabi offers financial aid opportunities to undergraduate applicants who hold UAE nationality or have Emirati mothers. These students can apply for financial aid through the university's Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed NYUAD Scholarship for Exceptional Emirati Students. Additionally, students with UAE nationality may also qualify for a personal support award based on their financial need. NYU's Global Network University includes a portal campus in collaboration with New York University in New York City and New York University Shanghai. Initially, the campus was established in 2008 as a temporary site for hosting cultural events and conferences.
