About CEGEP - Gaspe Campus

Located in Québec, a French-speaking province of Canada, the Cégep de la Gaspésie et des Îles (known in French as CEGEP) is a bilingual public institute of higher learning with a student population of approximately 3000. Its principal campus is in Gaspé including five other campuses, in Gaspé, Carleton, Grande-Rivière, Îles-de-la-Madeleine and Montreal. It offers exciting programs in Technology, Business, Tourism and Healthcare to international students aimed at building employable skills for the future.

CEGEP offers both pre-university and technical programs. The two-year pre-university programs cover subjects that generally correlate to the additional year of high school offered elsewhere in Canada in preparation for a chosen topic of study at university. 

Services and Facilities

There are a vast number of student services available at CEGEP, which help the students, both old and new, in numerous different ways. Some of the benefits are mental health and counselling services, sports and recreation facilities, orientation, health and wellness insurance, cultural and social events, research and development initiatives, accessibility service, etc.

Students have access to a variety of academic support services from day one of their college experience, including personal academic counselling, a guidance service, and teacher-student tutoring. Students with physical, sensory, neurological, or biological impairments and those with learning disabilities or mental health issues are provided with a variety of adapted services. 


On-Campus Housing: At CEGEP College, on-campus housing is given according to the college's and students' decisions. The on-campus house is adequately furnished with essential amenities that make staying comfortable for students.

Off-Campus Housing: Students can also explore off-campus housing in the forms of Studio flats, paid guest facilities, shared housing complexes, including others in the nearby areas.

There are some standard requirements which students should keep in mind before applying to CEGEP - Gaspe Campus.

  • The student should be 18 years old or more at the time of beginning the course.
  • Students coming from non-English speaking countries must take language proficiency tests like PTE, IELTS, TOEFL or other equivalent exams.
  • Students need to provide original transcripts (translated if the originals are not in English) from all the academic institutions before making any application request.
