Our marketing program will help students learn the theory and practice of marketing from experienced marketing professionals while keeping such challenges in mind. A key objective of this program is to teach students how to develop an effective marketing plan and how to successfully follow through on every step of the marketing process. The program will provide students with extensive training in marketing research, international marketing, and direct-marketing campaigns. Mastering these skills will empower students to target positions within the marketing department of any organization.

Our Business Management program instructors are experienced educators who have worked in senior managerial positions in banking, international trade, retailing, and manufacturing. The business management courses are current, practical, and geared toward application in the “real world” to help students enter and succeed in the workforce.

We integrate communication skills teaching with academic and professional business education and training.  In today’s marketplace, strong communication skills—which include speaking and writing—are essential. In this program, students will master great communication techniques, increase their confidence in public speaking, and present their thoughts and ideas clearly in meetings, sales venues, employment interviews, or group presentations.

Businesses today are increasingly going global resulting in the tremendous growth of trade across international borders. The Diploma in International Trade at Arbutus College offers the students a course replete with practical experience to give the students the relevant skills and knowledge required to excel in their fields.

FITT Skills Program
The FITT (Forum for International Trade Training) Skills program is a practical course that focuses on the fundamentals of international business. Students register for the course and upon the completion of all eight assessments and courses are awarded a FITT Diploma in International Trade.

FITT Training
Arbutus College, being a partner of the FITT, offers courses to students enabling them to earn FITT certifications and become Certified International Trade Professionals (CITP). FITT is a professional certification and international trade training body that prepares individuals with the skills they require in today’s practical job world.

This program is perfect for students who want to improve their language skills and are interested in a career as a translator and interpreter.

Our Translation & Interpreting program includes advanced writing and public speaking courses, as well as business language courses. Our programs focus on English and the languages of Japan, Korea, and China. Our instructors are outstanding translators and interpreters with extensive teaching experience and a passion for sharing knowledge.

In today’s world, where borders are disappearing and communities are becoming more culturally diverse, building bridges through clear and precise communication has never been more important.

This program will strengthen students’ language skills and prepare them for a career as a translator and interpreter. Students will gain a strong understanding of the professional aspects of translation and interpreting and will be able to apply theory to practice. Emphasis is placed on professional translation and interpreting.
