    Located in Burnaby, British Columbia, the students of the Fraser International College get an opportunity to live in one of the world’s most livable city. Providing a smooth transition to Simon Fraser University, the students are offered with a direct path to year two at Simon Fraser University.

    The programs offered by the Fraser International College are university designed and taught by experienced and qualified faculty on the main Simon Fraser University Campus making sure that the students are well prepared for their higher education. The small classes, personalized attention to every student, supportive staff, dynamic environment, a combined offer letter from Fraser International College and Simon Fraser University and an opportunity to get a degree from one the best universities of Canada makes the college one of the most sought after colleges for domestic and international; students alike.

    Scholarship

    FIC has initiated for its students numerous scholarships, bursaries and awards which not only reduced the financial burden on the students but also serves as a force of encouragement for the students.Scholarships are based on performance at the college, college do not offer entrance scholarships.

    • FIC Academic Merit Scholarship: is awarded to the top two performing students at FIC every semester, and is equal to the cost of tuition for one academic semester
    • SFU Transfer Scholarships: are available to FIC students when they transfer to SFU from Stage II with a GPA of 3.7 or above (scholarship GPA requirements subject to change).

    SFU does offer a lot more scholarships and you can read about them here. FIC students are eligible for SFU scholarships once they have successfully transferred into SFU.

    Navitas Family Bursary
    The bursary is equivalent to 10% of the tuition fee for up to 8 units of study within one program only with a Navitas member institution. The bursary does not apply to additional units or repeat units that may also be undertaken and excludes mixed English options.

    Eligibility

    • Family Bursary applies where two or more students from the same family study at a Navitas institution.
    • The first family member can be studying at a Navitas institution at the same time as the other family members or may have studied at any Navitas institution previously.
    • The family bursary is granted to the second and subsequent family members who study at a Navitas institution.

    Admissions Requirements

    The following minimum requirements must be fulfilled to get admitted to Fraser International College

    • International students are considered on case-by-case basis. There can be some additional requirements, depending on the program you are applying to.
    • Students are required to submit their original transcripts from their last attended academic institutions. If they are not in English, then submit the translated copies of the same along with the originals.
    • Should provide the certificate issued by the International Qualifications Assessment Service (IQAS) that compares educational credentials from other countries to educational standards in Canada.
    • Applicants must be 18 years old at the time of the beginning of the course.
    • You need to submit your English language proficiency test scores if you are coming from a non-English speaking country.

    Please note: If you are not a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident of Canada, you must obtain a valid study permit before you come to Canada.
