About Alexander College - Burnaby Campus

It was established in the year 2006 as a private college under the British Columbia Ministry of Advanced Education. It offers over 80 entry-level programs, certificate and bachelor’s and over 50 associate degree programs in arts, economics, psychology, English for academic purposes and university transfer programs. Alexander College also provides a range of Pathway and Block transfer programs.

It has two campuses in British Columbia – one in Vancouver and the other in Burnaby. The Burnaby Campus is located at a stone’s throw from one of the largest shopping centres and is quite close to a sky train station.

The programs are designed to help first and second year undergraduates achieve success in their transition to the post-secondary environment along with strong student support and services.

Services and Facilities

Athletics, students clubs’ activities and events, and volunteering programs are a part of life at the college. With that, the writing and learning centre, health and wellness facilities and library provide an atmosphere conducive to staying calm and healthy, and learning better.

The campus in Burnaby is at short distances to public transit stations, and has a variety of housing choices for students to choose from. Students can choose from rented studio apartments, shared apartment complexes, or stay as paying guests.

A homestay could be another option for students who seek to live with a family. The hosts can be single people, couples and old people. Places listed as homestays go through required criminal reference checks.

Alexander College offers academic scholarships to reward outstanding achievement of students in a specific discipline (e.g. commerce, psychology, etc.).
