About Assiniboine Community College - Winnipeg Campus

The Assiniboine Community College, Winnipeg Campus was established in 1961. The Practical Nursing programs and Continuing Studies courses are available at the Assiniboine College Winnipeg campus. Students enrolled in the Practical Nursing programme will have the chance to make a difference in the health-care industry.

Physical and social sciences, interpersonal relationships, the basics of raising a family, as well as physical and emotional health issues are all included in this program's curriculum. Clinical nursing skills are taught in a laboratory environment and then practiced in acute and long-term care institutions, personal care homes, different community organizations, and private homes after graduation.

A combination of classroom theory and hands-on learning is used at the institution to provide students with a well-rounded educational experience. If a student wants to learn about anything from building houses to running daily broadcast news shows to charting patients to developing computer networks to repairing engines to managing a five-star restaurant, the programmes are designed to connect students with industries and communities so they can gain real-world experience and networking opportunities.
