Founded in 1964, British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT) is a public post-secondary institution in Canada that specializes in advanced technical education. It’s located on the southeast coast of British Columbia, Canada, and is known to have four campuses; Aerospace campus, Marine campus, Annacis Island campus and its main campus which is in Downtown Vancouver. BCIT also has 10 other satellites located around the province amongst the various communities of Greater Vancouver.
BCIT hosts its aerospace program from the 285,000-square-foot Aerospace Technology Campus. It houses BCIT’s fleet of light piston, corporate, turboprop, and jet transport aircraft, including light and medium helicopters.
Services and Facilities
BCIT has some of the freshest campuses around—including the state-of-the-art Aerospace Technology Campus; a broadcast and media studio; and a forensics lab. The Downtown Campus features the TEC Hub, an innovative and collaborative IT learning space in the heart of downtown Vancouver’s tech corridor. College offers a range of services and facilities to help students learn. Small classrooms are conducive to learning and allow teachers to give students their full attention. Relevant curriculum is taught in these classes that prepares the students for their future in the real world. State of the art infrastructure, including labs, libraries, and classrooms all contribute to the learning environment.
Accommodation
College offers both on-campus and off-campus accommodation to international students. The on-campus apartment has seven low-rises, four suites of twelve bedrooms, a laundry room and a resident advisor apartment. The rooms are comfortable with a single bed, closet, dresser, mattress, bookshelf, desk lamp, mirror, desk, chair. In addition to this, students can take help of platforms like My Ideal Home Network and Rent Hello to arrange off-campus accommodation for themselves.
Scholarships
Financial Aids are granted in the form of entrance awards, graduate awards, bursaries, scholarships, and loans. In addition to this, international students can also seek funding to study in Canada from other sources.
