This institute was founded in 1998 in the Greater Toronto Area, and it has since been guiding and teaching national and international students in accordance with international standards and benchmarks. Canadian Institute of Management and Technology is a private, non-profit educational institution. It is recognized as a Private Career College under the Private Career Colleges Act, 2005, and is a member of the National Association of Career Colleges and the Ontario Association of Career Colleges. It has four locations: Scarborough, Mississauga, Brampton, and Malton. 

A wide range of diplomas, postgraduate diplomas, preparatory and skill advancement courses, and brief training courses for industry-specific and regulatory professions are available at the college in a variety of delivery formats, including full-time, part-time, and weekend classes, allowing students to easily balance their work and personal lives.

Services and Facilities 

Canadian Institute of Management and Technology provides excellent student services and makes students feel at ease the moment they arrive on campus. The services were created with the complex elements of student life in mind, as well as everything they require to have a fantastic time on campus. Some of the services offered by the college are services for people with disabilities, dental and medical services, services for mental health and counseling, facilities for sports and recreation, campus tours and open houses. For new students, there is a mandatory orientation. 


A range of off-campus rental housing alternatives are available in the surrounding region, including single-family houses, duplexes, apartments, and rooms for rent. To be able to live off-campus, students must conduct their own research and arrive at the university long before the start of the semester in order to do so. 

There are also a number of homestay options which are available to the students around the college campus. Staying in these accommodations will ensure that the students will have a wonderful experience of living with a Canadian family.


In the healthcare field, the Spectrum Scholarship is a one-of-a-kind opportunity that is awarded to a select group of students who have exhibited a dedication to community care and who are interested in pursuing a career in the exciting and very gratifying profession of home care. Selected students who are awarded the Spectrum Scholarship are able to receive discounted tuition for the duration of the complete Personal Support Worker programme at Canadian Institute of Management and Technology. After successfully completing the programme, successful graduates will be given full-time work with Spectrum Health Care for a period of two years after graduation.

Before applying to the Canadian Institute of Management and Technology (CIMT), Malton Campus, students should be aware of the following criteria. Some of the qualifying criteria are as follows:

  • Prior to admission, the students must be at least 18 years old.
  • The students must be fluent in English and have passed the IELTS, TOEFL, PTE, or any other comparable examinations.
  • The students must produce official transcripts from all previous academic institutions. (If the transcripts are not in English, they must be accompanied by translated copies.)
