The Early Childcare Assistant (ECA) program is designed to equip childcare workers with valuable knowledge, skills and experience for employment as assistants in daycares or early learning centers. This program gives the students an overview of the responsibility of an early childcare assistant and opportunities to perform those responsibilities. The program presents foundational skills needed for those seeking to move into an Early Childhood Educator program.

WHY THIS PROGRAM?
There are numerous job opportunities for an early childcare assistant at child-care centres, daycare centers, kindergartens, agencies for exceptional children and other settings where early childhood education services are provided. They assist in planning, organizing and implementing programs for children between the ages of infancy and 12 years. Early childhood assistants provide care for infants and preschool- to school-age children under the guidance of early childhood educators.

Students complete 90 credit hours of the Pre-Med program in one year, which provides the prerequisites to be qualified and eligible for admission into several MD programs. Our curriculum of Pre-Med courses and our overall diploma program is accepted by many of the schools of medicine  where students want to go! And all of the training takes place locally, at our Brampton or Mississauga campuses.

There is a pending government-declared shortage for general practitioners and medical specialists in Canada. It is estimated that 28,300 new jobs will open up through 2024 across Canada. Once you are at the medical school in the Caribbean, you may choose to specialize in Cardiology, Gastroenterology, Maternity, Pathology, Pediatrics, Neurology, Psychiatry, Oncology, or much more.

Accounting Administration is the gateway to a career in the field of accounting which prepares you for jobs such as a Book keeper, Accounts Receivable Clerk, Accounts Payable Clerk, Administrative Assistant and various other related jobs. It gives you the opportunity to work in areas related to Finance, Accounting and Banking which opens the doors to a wide range of employment opportunities. It is a field which provides starting jobs as well as higher positions for people with experience.

Administration comprises of a huge industry which offers a variety of job openings at different levels of hierarchy. After pursuing a Diploma in Accounting Administration you can scale new heights in your profession with your skills and expertise in the area of financial accounting and administration.

Graduates with Accounting Administration become valuable members of business organizations like Finance, Insurance, Banking, Real Estate and Leasing, Business Services, Public Administration offices as well as Trade Industries.

CIMT, Scarborough offers a unique undergraduate diploma in Medical Office Administration with Health Unit Coordinating which spans for a total duration of 8 months. The aforementioned diploma prepares students for jobs at hospital units and ward, clinics, medical offices, long term care facilities, and other allied healthcare settings. Under this program students are provided training in various aspects such as office procedures, medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, word processing, and database management. 

Along with learning things such as hospital simulation software, transcribing doctors’ orders, psychiatry, and how mental health issues affect treatment and care, students are also encouraged to improve their communication skills, learn about medical software programs and develop a wholesome personality. Once students finish this program they will be familiar with the medical office environment, hospital hierarchy, departments as well as procedures. This diploma opens up a number of professional doors for the students such as Medical Office Administrators, Health Unit Coordinators, Unit Clerk, Ward Clerks, Medical Receptionists, Medical Secretaries and other related jobs.
