About Centennial College - Progress Campus

Founded in 1966, Centennial College is the oldest publicly funded college in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It offers 250+ programs, including bachelor's degrees, diplomas, certificates, post-graduate certificates and apprenticeship programs. Known as a culturally diverse post-secondary institution, it values diversity in terms of communities and respects multi-cultures. It represents almost 100 ethnocultural groups with more than 70 languages spoken on campus. It offers education to 25000+ students and 17000+ alumni worldwide.

Students can choose to study through a wide range of full-time and part-time programs in business, arts, design, health sciences, applied computing, engineering technology, animation, music, theatre and film. It also holds a stellar record in terms of job placements and academia. 

Centennial College offers education through five campuses, where majority are situated on the east side of the city, particularly in Scarborough, along with an aerospace centre at Downsview Park in North York. The primary focus of all the campuses is to provide industry experience and practical exposure to the students while making sure that they are ready for the job market.

Out of all the five campuses, Progress Campus is the largest campus of Centennial College, located in Scarborough. The campus is known as the hub of the college as students get to enjoy a variety of services and facilities while studying here. It is home to the School of Advancement, School of Hospitality, Tourism and Culinary Arts, School of Engineering, Technology and Applied Science, and the Business School.

The campus offers numerous services and facilities, including a four-story library, wellness centre, food services, open house webinars, athletics, and more. Students at the Centennial Place Residence are offered fully furnished units with 24*7 safety and security. It also offers community amenities like a fitness centre, yoga & dance studio, group and private study lounges, etc.

Students are also provided with a range of career services like: Co-op Education Programs, Skill Set Improvement Programs, Online Learning Programs, Employment Services Program, Career Guidance and Academic Counseling, Resume, CV and Cover Letter Building, Job and Recruitment Fair, Job Boards and Job Portals and Strategic Career Marketing.

The college provides the option of residence to students in many ways:

On-Campus Housing: Students at the Centennial Place Residence are offered fully furnished units with 24*7 safety and security.

Off-Campus Housing: Students have a variety of choices for off-campus housing in the surrounding areas as well in forms of Studio flats, paid guest facilities, shared housing complexes, and others.

Admissions

Admission to Centennial College - Progress Campus is subject to certain requirements and the eligibility requirements vary as per the program a student applies to. However, there are certain eligibility criteria that are common for every course.

  • A student must be 18 years or older at the time of applying.
  • A student coming from non-English speaking countries should have taken either IELTS, TOEFL, PTE or other equivalent exams to prove their language proficiency.
  • The college requires original transcripts from all the previously attended academic institutions before accepting any application request. If the original transcripts are not in English, then the student needs to submit the translated copies of the same along with original documents.
