About Centre for Arts and Technology - Kelowna

Established in 2002, the Centre for Arts and Technology in Kelowna was founded by leaders from the media and education industry. It offers undergraduate certificate and diploma programs in filmmaking, interior design, animation, audio engineering, photography, digital music production, network administration and network security. 

Known for its programs in technical training and digital arts, it provides students with professional support through theoretical and practical sessions.

Right mentorship, opportunities, and motivation encourage the students to take up challenging tasks, assignments and improve in a collaborative environment. The institute has an active community built with advanced technologies and industry connections working towards students’ success. It values hard and smart work for continuous improvement.

The institute has received designations from Education Quality Assurance (EQA) and Private Training Institutions Branch (PTIB).

Services and Facilities

The Kelowna campus is located in the Landmark Centre of British Columbia, which is a business and technology hub. It includes over 10,000 square feet of learning spaces and features dedicated animation labs, art room, audio recording studios, interior design labs, digital filmmaking production and digital photography studio. The film production studio complements extensive motion graphics, digital video, visual effects, digital media, and green screen color keying technology. Students lounges, nearby coffee shops, gym and restaurants, and access to city-wide routes. Liberal access to facilities and equipment is offered to students so art and creativity can blend seamlessly with technology.   


Listing resources and the institute’s program advisors assist students in finding suitable housing options for students for their duration of stay. Students can find single rooms, shared rooms, apartments, basement rooms and homestays close to the campus and near places of convenience like grocery shops, transit stops, and parks.


Students can take advantage of scholarships offered by several private institutions, individuals and the Canadian government.

Admission to Centre for Arts and Technology - Kelowna ?is subject to certain requirements and the eligibility requirements vary as per the program a student applies to.

  • The student should be 18 years of age.
  • The student must have taken either TOEFL, PTE, IELTS or an equivalent English language proficiency exam.
  • The applicant is required to submit their original transcripts (translated, if not in English) from all the academic institutions they have attended.
