Qualifications, Designations and Partnerships You Can Benefit From

Focus College recognized the need for a standardized and globally recognized post-secondary education in Canada. UFV and Focus College have formed a special partnership to give you a clear path to pursue your academic goals. This pathway will invite successful graduates of Focus College’s Advanced Certificate in Business to continue their studies as they transfer to UFV to undertake further studies in our General Studies Diploma program!

If you’re looking for employment-focused Business programs delivered by experienced instructors, with small class sizes, and one-to-one attention, you’ve come to the right place. At Focus College, our Advanced Diploma and Certificate courses can get you set up to build a career in the Business world or to enroll in a university degree program after graduation.

The Advanced Diploma in Business will provide you with the current skill sets required in business management, business accounting, law, economic issues and business communication practices. This course will prepare you for opportunities as an Office Manager, Planning Manager, Business Development, Business and Sales Manager and Team Leader/Manager.

Advanced Certificate in Business

The Advanced Certificate in Business will prepare you for a wide range of positions that include: Administration Supervisor, Assistant Manager, Personal Assistant, Banking Assistant, Business Development, Purchasing Coordinator, Sales, Customer Service, Financial Assistant and Trainee Manager.

Our 1-year program will allow you to develop advanced qualifications and will provide you with the practical skills and theoretical business knowledge employers need. They allow advanced entry to universities nationally and internationally.

The Advanced Certificate (AC) in Business provides current insight into the main aspects of international business with a focus on business management and human resource management. It covers business culture and strategy, managing people in different sizes of organizations, marketing, economic issues, accounting, business law, and IT.

The AC in Business will provide a breadth of competences. Upon completion of this program students:

will have developed suitable competencies to enter a range of administrative, commercial or managerial positions.

The Advanced Diploma in Travel and Tourism will provide graduates with a wide variety of competencies. The specific aims of the program are to:

Develop the skills and abilities required to start a career with a range of employers, such as travel agencies; tour operators; airline, coach, rail and sea operations; and providers of ancillary services including car rental, insurance and foreign exchange
