Services & Facilities
Selkirk College is large enough to provide high-quality student services and facilities, but small enough to provide personalised attention, small class numbers, and a level of support not seen at other post-secondary institutions. Instructors are more than just professors; they are specialists in their professions who can impart real-world knowledge to students.
The Selkirk College Library offers a variety of materials and services to students, faculty, and the general public. The Castlegar Campus library also holds a unique local history collection, which includes over 5000 books, audio recordings, video material, and historical newspapers.
Modern fitness facilities, drop-in sports, yoga, fitness challenges, indoor bouldering, special trips to local tourist attractions, outdoor fires, special bike-to-school weeks, guided hikes, gratitude practises, and a virtual healthy eating group are just a few options for achieving a healthy balance between school and life.
Accommodation
Almost 250 students live in the student accommodation, which is spread across two on-campus locations. Classes, sporting facilities, libraries, dining facilities, and outdoor leisure are all within a five-minute walk of the buildings. The Student Housing offers independent living options on the Castlegar campus and Nelson's Tenth Street Campus.
