University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC) was established in 1990 with a vision of providing high-quality education to students all across the globe. It is an open research institution associated with the Association of Commonwealth Universities, U Sports, the University of the Arctic, Universities Canada and the International Association of Universities. It ranks high in terms of the best smallest universities in the country and mainly focuses on cultural studies, science, economic studies and environmental studies.

Admission to the University of Northern British Columbia - South-Central Campus is subject to certain requirements, and the eligibility requirements vary as per the program a student applies to. However, there are certain requirements that every student must keep in mind before applying to the college:
