About University of the Fraser Valley - Mission Campus

The Institution of Fraser Valley has provided degree programmes in a wide range of areas since its inception as a public university in 1974, including accounting, teaching technology, business technology, and aviation. This University is a member of the  Fraser Valley Foundation, a non-profit organization. Two master's degree programs, 19 undergraduate degree programs, and several other certifications are among the various programs offered by this college. These courses are organized into over 30 academic areas and cater to a wide variety of interests. This can include everything from accountancy to graphic design and everything in between.

Following a successful application process, the institution was given full university status in April 2008, marking the end of the first phase of its expansion and the start of the second. The university now has five buildings, as well as a graduate school and a college of arts.

Services and Facilities 

The University of Fraser Valley's student services are amazing, and students are instantly made to feel at ease upon their arrival. Students have access to a range of services that helps them in accomplishing personal success and securing a bright future.Following are some of the services and facilities offered by the college: tours and extra-curricular activities, medical services, state of the art gym and fitness facilities, cultural and social gatherings.

Accommodation 

Students have a variety of options for off-campus living in the surrounding areas. They  have a variety of housing options available to them, including studio flats, paying guest facilities, and shared apartment complexes. 

Homestays are a vital part of the student housing system. Students have the option of residing in a homestay facility based on their interests and choices. 

Scholarships

If a student enrolls at the University of Fraser Valley, Mission Campus, in the academic year immediately following their high school graduation, they may be eligible for a UFV Entrance Scholarship grant, which is awarded to students who demonstrate financial need. Academic achievement, community/school participation, volunteer experience, and leadership endeavors are all taken into consideration when selecting recipients.

Admissions

The University of the Fraser Valley - Mission Campus has different eligibility requirements for various courses.  There are some common requirements for every student:

  • At the start of ther course, the student must be at least 18 years old. 
  • Students who do not speak English as their native tongue must pass language proficiency exams such as the PTE, IELTS, or TOEFL, as well as other related assessments. 
  • Before submitting an application, applicants must provide authentic transcripts from all academic institutions attended (translated if the originals are not in English).
