College of the Rockies, Cranbrook offers its students a four year long bachelor of business administration program in Sustainable Business Practices that is specially curated for students who wish to work on responsible and sustainable initiative in a business environment. This program addresses a wide range of environmental and sustainability issue such social risk identification, strategies for improving performance, sustainability issues and personal effectiveness to instigate and lead change. This diploma allows students to study economics, accounting, general management and marketing and develop more specific knowledge in sustainable business practices.

Along with face to face lectures students are also taught through online and hybrid courses ad well as practical, hands on experiences in laboratories. This program works two ways, it provides employment after completion of the aforementioned program and this program also helps in maintaining a green economy which is beneficial for generations to come. Students can work on developing their sustainability planning and reporting skills to help local businesses reduce their impact on the environment. 

As with all of our Business Management programs, the Marketing diploma infuses sustainable business practice knowledge throughout your courses. Sustainability is a priority for many in today’s global business environment.

Upon completion of the Marketing diploma, students can take advantage of block transfer agreements the College has with many other Canadian colleges and universities. Transfer is available to most Canadian post-secondary institutions on a case-by-case basis. Students can also enter directly into Year 3 of the Bachelor of Business Administration in Sustainable Business Practices degree program at College of the Rockies.

Note: Upon successful completion of all Year 1 courses, you can graduate with a Business Management Certificate.

Hospitality and Tourism are two really successful industries that have been growing incessantly over the years and hence a degree in the same can be really lucrative and beneficial for the students. College of the Rockies - Cranbrook Campus offers a two year undergraduate program in the field of Tourism Management. Students are provided with practical skills development, knowledge of hospitality and tourism sector, entrepreneurial skills and so on. The major themes underlying the diploma are sustainability, service management, entrepreneurship and cross cultural diversity including an Indigenous world-view.

 Tourism is a very lucrative and fun industry which is growing rapidly. The program helps students gain practical skills and helps them get a view of the professional world they will be stepping into. This course prepares the students gain success in tourism and hospitality sectors. Along with the industry specific work experience gained by the students they are also imparted academic knowledge and class counseling. Students can also use the knowledge and skills acquired in this program to transfer into a bachelor degree in tourism management at other post-secondary institutions as well as the College of the Rockies.
