Focus College has campuses in Kelowna, Surrey, Vancouver, and Abbotsford. They offer 16+ courses, including Business, Information Technology, Travel and Tourism, Office Management, Accounting Assisting, Bylaw, and English as a Second Language. Tuition fees range from $12,500 to $26,380.

About Focus College Surrey Campus

Focus College Surrey Campus originally opened its doors in 1992. It was motivated by a desire to help the community and provide them with the practical skills required to establish a secure and rewarding career. Focus College now offers students internationally recognized, cutting-edge, employment-focused training in Business, IT, and Travel & Tourism that is relevant to the world.

The Surrey location is centrally located for easy access to all of the area's attractions. Surrey is ideal for both city dwellers and nature enthusiasts.

Focus College saw a need in Canada for a standardized and internationally recognized post-secondary education. Focus College and UFV have developed a unique partnership to provide students with a clear path to achieve their academic goals. This pathway will allow successful graduates of Focus College's Advanced Certificate in Business program to continue their studies at UFV by enrolling in the General Studies Diploma programme.

At Focus College, our Advanced Diploma and Certificate courses can get you set up to build a career in the Business world or to enroll in a university degree program after graduation.

The Advanced Diploma in Business will provide you with the current skill sets required in business management, business accounting, law, economic issues and business communication practices. This course will prepare you for opportunities as an Office Manager, Planning Manager, Business Development, Business and Sales Manager and Team Leader/Manager.

Advanced Diploma in Travel and Tourism

If you’re looking for employment-focused Travel & Tourism program delivered by experienced instructors, with small class sizes and a lot of one-to-one attention, you’ve come to the right place. At Focus College, our Advanced Diploma program can get you set up to build a career in the Travel and Tourism sector or even enrol in a university degree program after graduation.

The Advanced Diploma in Travel and Tourism will provide graduates with a wide variety of competencies. The specific aims of the program are to:

Develop the skills and abilities required to start a career with a range of employers, such as travel agencies; tour operators; airline, coach, rail and sea operations; and providers of ancillary services including car rental, insurance and foreign exchange
Be fully prepared for employment in areas such as customer service and administration in the general field of commerce
Develop student competencies to support their career aspirations
Be prepared for progression to degree courses delivered by partner universities in different countries
Develop skills for independent, life-long learning
Develop and enhance transferable skills for employability and core skills
Develop and enhance transferable skills in planning, organizing, critical and evaluative thinking and will be able to investigate issues and problems relating to travel, tourism, and business in depth
Develop intra/interpersonal skills relevant to a range of positions and levels in the travel and tourism industry
Develop communication and presentation skills
Be able to adopt an innovative and creative approach to their work and be able to respond quickly to challenges posed by changes in the travel and tourism environment

Focus College Surrey Campus Admission Requirements

Admission to Focus College Surrey Campus is dependent on meeting certain criteria, which vary depending on the program to which a student applies.

Student should be at least 18 years before taking admission
Student should be proficient in English and must have taken IELTS, TOEFL, PTE or other equivalent exams
Students are required to submit their original transcripts from all the academic institutions they have attended. If the transcripts are not in English, then students need to submit the translated copies of the same along with the originals.

After spending my years at this renowned college, I have seen a significant difference in my life, whether on an intellectual or personal level. The campus, which is surrounded by lush nature, provides a great setting for growth and development. The placement cell at the college also works tirelessly to provide students with different opportunities in the industry, helping them to easily transfer into the professional world. Apart from learning, I was exposed to amazing events both within and outside of the college, which helped in the development of my talents. The college offers facilities such as free Wi-Fi, a library, labs with all current equipment, and qualified instructors who use cutting-edge technology to instruct students in digital classrooms. There is also a cafeteria and a hostel at the college.
