Kwantlen Polytechnic University (KPU) is a public university that separated from another well respected post-secondary institution known as Douglas College back in 1981. It has been around for almost three decades and it owns five campuses located within the Metro Vancouver region of British Columbia; they are KPU Tech (Cloverdale), KPU Surrey, KPU Richmond, KPU Langley, and KPU Civic Plaza. University offers more than 120 programs that range from nursing and architecture to business administration and engineering. Additionally, the variety of vocational and technical courses provide students with a chance to learn the skills needed for independent professional success. Because of its high quality and a vast range of services, the college attracts students from all over the world. In addition to offering excellent education opportunities for its student body, the University also provides research opportunities for faculty members where specialized laboratories are available.

Sports & Recreation Facilities
Admission to Kwantlen Polytechnic University - Surrey Campus is subject to certain requirements and the eligibility requirements vary as per the program a student applies to. However, there are certain requirements that every student must keep in mind before applying to the college:
- Student should be at least 18 years old before taking admission
- Student should be proficient in English and must have taken IELTS, TOEFL, PTE or other equivalent exams
- Students are required to submit their original transcripts from all the academic institutions they have attended.
