Medicine Hat College (MCH) is a well-known and prestigious public, board-governed comprehensive college that serves southeastern Alberta and southwestern Saskatchewan in Canada. The college was established in 1965 and is located in Medicine Hat, Alberta. 

MHC Brooks Campus is located in Brooks, Alberta, a town of around 14,000 people located 100 kilometres west of Medicine Hat in Southeastern Alberta. Each semester, the campus enrols about 300 full- and part-time students in courses ranging from adult basic education and ESL training to the two-year Practical Nurse Diploma Program.

Medicine Hat College believes in serving thousands of students each year and is known for its student-centred approach as well as its innovative and collaborative attitude. Medicine Hat College provides students with an education that prepares them for higher education, career, and life. The faculty and staff are dedicated to enhancing each student's intellectual, emotional, and social potential. Services & Facilities

Medicine Hat College provides a number of resources and services to assist students in their academic activities. From academic coaching and technology assistance to free guiding and fitness programs, there's something for everyone.

Small classes, high-quality instruction, and great student assistance are all priorities at Medicine Hat College. Library services, academic advising, disabilities services, learning skills development, cultural events, career services, housing services, daycare, counselling, and recreation and wellness programmes are examples of these types of services. These services are intended to help students succeed by increasing their options.

MHC's Employment and Career Centre provides a variety of services to students, alumni, employers, and faculty. An online job board, career and job fairs, job search support, in-class workshops, and employer information sessions are among the services offered.


Medicine Hat College Residence invites students to live on campus and get the most out of their time at MHC. Living in residence is enjoyable, friendly, and cost-effective, allowing students to get the most out of their MHC experience. The on-campus accommodation is among Alberta's most affordable, with 75 well-kept townhouse units located within a few minutes’ walk from the college.


Medicine Hat College has hundreds of thousands of dollars in scholarship and bursary awards available to students. Medicine Hat College students receive over $350,000 in financial aid each year from the Student Financial Aid Office.

Admission to Medicine Hat College - Brooks Campus is dependent on meeting certain criteria, which vary depending on the program to which a student applies. 

  • Student should be at least 18 years old before taking admission
  • Student should be proficient in English and must have taken IELTS, TOEFL, PTE or other equivalent exams
  • Students are required to submit their original transcripts from all the academic institutions they have attended. If the transcripts are not in English, then students need to submit the translated copies of the same along with the originals.
