About Mohawk College - Stoney Creek Campus
Mohawk College of Applied Arts and Technology is a public higher education institution in Hamilton, Ontario, that was founded in 1966. The Ministry of Training, Colleges, and Universities has fully accredited and sponsored it, and it is a member of the Association of Community Colleges of Canada (ACCC).
The college conducts study programs at four campus locations across Hamilton, including Stoney Creek Campus, Fennell Campus (Hamilton Mountain), the Institute for Applied Health Sciences, and City School. The Marshall School of Skilled Trades & Apprenticeship is located on Mohawk's Stoney Creek Campus for Skilled Trades.
Students can choose from over 145 continuing education courses, over 100 full-time certificate, diploma, and degree programs, as well as a variety of part-time and apprenticeship programs. Students can receive career-oriented education from the college's highly educated staff through classroom instruction, industry visits, internships, and training programs. Every year, over 3,000 students participate in a co-op work term, which can last anywhere from four to sixteen months.
Services & Facilities
The campus Athletic and Recreation Centre has a multi-functional studio, fitness facility, indoor track, and three gymnasiums. It also offers outdoor basketball and beach volleyball facilities, as well as conference rooms and socializing places. Massage treatment and health centres on campus offer regular therapy and wellness services, as well as health education and medical services. Social Inc. and the Language and Culture Centre are great places to meet new people, learn about different cultures, and participate in a variety of events and activities.
At Mohawk, students will get job-ready training and in-school education to help them enter the workforce of the future. The Career Centre at Mohawk assists students and graduates in becoming job-ready. By writing or upgrading their resume and cover letter, constructing an e-portfolio, preparing for interviews, and studying career opportunities, students learn how to create a strong first impression.
Accommodation
The campus housing provides everything students need to have a fun and safe college experience. Only a microwave and refrigerator are provided for residents.
