About Northern Lights College - Dease Lake Campus

Established in 1975, Northern Lights College is a postsecondary educational institution located in the Yukon Territory of northern British Columbia. Northern Lights College is both a member of British Columbia Colleges and an independent institution. Having a catchment area of 324,000 square kilometres, campuses in Chetwynd, Dawson Creek, Fort Nelson, Fort St. John, and Tumbler Ridge, as well as access centres in Atlin, Dease Lake, and Hudson's Hope, the college serves a diverse population.

As a result of Northern Lights College's distinct regional advantage, the college collaborates with industry, employers, and communities to provide students with the opportunity to receive the classroom education they require, along with the necessary supplements to make the successful transition from student to employee. Through this collaborative approach, NLC is able to produce successful graduates who are well-versed in their fields and have a promising future. 

Services and Facilities 

Northern Lights College is a very well known college which has world-class infrastructure and many services and facilities, which make the life of the students studying on the campus much easier. Some of the services and facilities which are offered by the college are on-campus housing, community outreach program, social and cultural events, peer mentorship, etc. 


This college provides its students with fully staffed on-campus housing that is pleasant and convenient. Students living together in a housing complex on campus might include both single students and students with families. College provides fully furnished apartments to its students, and there are a total of 89 units available for students and 9 units available for family housing on the campus. 

In addition to on-campus accommodation, this college offers an apartment directory as well as an off-campus living facility for students. For students who need to arrive on time, they should look for accommodations such as a room, apartment flats, or a studio apartment within walking distance of the school. Student organisations at the college provide assistance to students in the search for off-campus accommodation as well as the application procedure. 


In order to help students in covering the expenditures of their educational expenses, the Northern Lights College - Dease Lake Campus provides a considerable number of need-based grants as well as a number of merit scholarships. The admissions process at Northern Lights College, Dease Lake Campus is rigorous and varies depending on the programme being considered. When applying to college, there are a number of aspects to take into consideration, including: 

  • The student must be at least eighteen years old in order to be admitted to the programme. 
  • The student must have obtained a passing score on the IELTS, TOEFL, PTE, or an equivalent examination. 
  • The student must submit official transcripts from all previous academic institutions to which he or she has been admitted. It is necessary for students to submit both the originals and translated copies of their transcripts if their transcripts are not in English.
