Okanagan College, founded in 1963, is a public post-secondary college with four main campuses in Kelowna, Penticton, Salmon Arm, and Vernon, British Columbia. The College serves about 20,500 students each year and is the province's second-largest technical training institution. The Penticton campus, with its lively and energetic learning environment, is the ideal place for students to form lifelong friendships and find their way to success.

Okanagan College offers a variety of apprenticeship, trade, vocational, continuing education, and academic programmes. In addition to university science and arts, Okanagan offers programmes in health, technology, and adult basic and special education.

The other areas of study include business administration, arts, science, Health and Social Development, food, wine, and tourism, Trades, and apprenticeship.

English as a Second Language Training, four-year degree programmes in computer information and business, and vocational programs have all piqued the interest of international students. Diploma in Criminal and Social Justice

The Criminal and Social Justice program, based at Okanagan College's Penticton campus, will provide students with an Arts-based criminal and social justice education. It is a two-year, four-semester program in which students will take a variety of criminal and social justice related courses in Sociology, Psychology, Political Science and Criminology, as well as elective Arts courses of personal interest. Some fields of inquiry may include indigenous studies, gender studies, race and ethnicity, globalization and poverty.

Students will graduate from this two-year program with a Diploma in Criminal and Social Justice and transfer into degree opportunities at other institutions in British Columbia and elsewhere, or they can move directly into the workforce, as there is growing labour demand in the field of criminal and social justice.Students exit the program with a solid, practical understanding of criminal and social justice issues in Canada and the world, as well as the academic skills of analytical reasoning, critical thinking, communication, and information retrieval that will be applied to their future profession and academic pursuits.

Okanagan College Penticton Campus Admission Requirements

Admission to Okanagan College Penticton Campus is dependent on meeting certain criteria, which vary depending on the program to which a student applies.

Student should be at least 18 years before taking admission
Student should be proficient in English and must have taken IELTS, TOEFL, PTE or other equivalent exams
Students are required to submit their original transcripts from all the academic institutions they have attended. If the academic transcripts are not in English, then students need to submit the translated copies of the same along with the originals.

I could call some strangers friends at the end of my term. The teachers were nice and cordial. Because of their professional approach to teaching, I could learn a great deal from them. They were particular about their work and were there when we need extra help as studying in a different country can be difficult to catch on to a first. The College's staff is quite helpful and are constantly concerned and eager to assist. For me, the college has been a terrific experience. The entire administration team and teachers have been supportive during my transition. The teacher sincerely cares about the students' progress. It's an amazing faculty with wonderful teachers, students, and a beautiful campus. Because of the small size of the campus, I was able to develop fantastic friends. The College offers a good education at an affordable price. On-campus, the College is committed to ensuring a safe environment.
