About George Brown College - St. James Campus
George Brown College was founded in 1967 and is named after George Brown, a newspaper entrepreneur and politician.
It is also popularly known as George Brown College of Applied Arts and Technology. It is credited as being the first to implement a distance education program and currently has over 15,000 international distance education students. The college's first chancellor was Sally Horsfall Eaton.
George Brown College is a Canadian college with three campuses: Casa Loma Campus, St. James Campus, and Waterfront Campus. The Casa Loma Campus is the college's primary campus and is recognised for being clean and green. The St. James Campus, which has five buildings, is home to the faculty of Financial Services, Creative Arts, Business Administration, and the Centre for Hospitality and Culinary Arts. The Waterfront campus is the newest, having opened in 2012.

The 'George,' is a residential building located within walking distance of St James Campus. It is in the heart of downtown Toronto and is surrounded by cafés, shops, malls, and restaurants. The residence offers two-bedroom fully furnished suites with adjoining bathrooms, a kitchenette, Internet and cable TV hookups, and biweekly housekeeping services.

There are some standard requirements which students should keep in mind before applying to George Brown College:
