About Seneca College - Newnham Campus

Seneca Institution of Applied Arts and Technology is a public college with campuses in the Greater Toronto Area and Peterborough, Ontario, Canada. Located west of the Finch Avenue East/Highway 404 interchange, the campus was initially known as Finch Campus before being renamed after its founding president William T. Newnham in 1984. Established in 1967, the college provides full-time and part-time programs in the form of bachelor’s, diploma, certificate, and graduate degrees.

In addition to extensive industry contacts, It offers thousands of co-op and work experiences to get graduates job-ready. Thousands of Seneca College graduates have become successful CEOs, senators, pilots, fashion designers, cops, broadcasters, and entrepreneurs.

It is a multi-campus college having one of the largest campuses in Newnham, Canada. Newnham Campus provides a wide range of courses in business, engineering, aviation, early childhood education, fashion, computer and communications technology, liberal arts and more. It also offers continuing education programs in the evenings and on weekends.

Services and Facilities

The campus offers many student services and facilities like free airport pickup, accommodation assistance, counseling, academic advisors, free English assistance, peer tutoring and international student club. It also has several student favorite retail outlets on campus like Starbucks, Subway, Tim Hortons, Bento Sushi, etc. 

Apart from providing high-quality education opportunities, students at Seneca are also provided with a comprehensive range of student supports & services. The college offers everything students need to guarantee a smooth transition into life in Toronto. At the start of each semester, Seneca organizes an orientation for new students at each campus to help them find their feet, followed by optional social orientation events hosted by the Seneca Students' Association (SSA).


To enhance the living experience of international students, Seneca offers both on-campus and off-campus residence facilities. The on-campus residence offers suite-style units to students with two bedrooms, a bathroom, and a kitchenette. The residence buildings also have front desks and 24 hours video monitoring to ensure student safety.


The college offers a variety of financial aid options for individuals interested in studying in Canada.

Seneca College - Newnham Campus has a stringent admissions process which varies from program to program. However, there are certain requirements for every student to apply to the college:

  • The student should be at least 18 years of age.
  • The student must have given either IELTS, TOEFL, PTE or other equivalent exams.
  • The student is required to submit the original transcripts from all the academic institutions previously attended. If the transcripts are not in English, the student needs to submit the translated copies of the same along with the originals.
