The Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) has been designed with consultation from industry to set you up for lifelong employability. By combining your BCom with a Bachelor of Arts, you can choose from a diverse range of majors and subjects in the arts, humanities and social sciences. When you study marketing at UNSW Business School, you’ll learn how to build profitability by creating valued relationships with customers, suppliers, distributors, shareholders, and the community. As a marketing professional, your role is to identify and understand identify and understand customers’ needs and wants, determine target markets; design appropriate products, services and programs; develop communications to promote businesses and organisations; and determine the most effective way to deliver a service.

This degree is designed for students who are passionate about both the Law and Science, and are interested in learning about the connection between the two.

The Law degree aims to develop graduates who have excellent analytical skills, a capacity for scholarly research, effective oral and written communication skills, and a commitment to personal and professional development, ethical practice and social responsibility. In addition to developing critical and analytical skills, Law students can gain real-world perspective by undertaking an internship and practical legal experience in our community legal centre. Economists focus on the roles of  incentives, resource constraints, laws, customs, and institutions. When you study the Bachelor of Economics at UNSW, you’ll explore how the decisions of institutions and individuals interact to determine outcomes for the economy and society.

The Master of Actuarial Studies equips you with the data analytics and quantitative risk management training for an actuarial career, and careers in finance.

Through this degree, you’ll learn to apply advanced analytical techniques, deliver highly valued data analytics, and actionable insights. You’ll also develop a specialist quantitative skill set in actuarial models, financial mathematics, probability, machine learning / artificial intelligence analytics, and commerce. The program is accredited by the Actuaries Institute and includes courses and electives to develop your future career as a business professional.

The program has also earned the University-Earned Credit (UEC) program status for Financial Mathematics (FM) exam and Statistics for Risk Modelling (SRM) exam. This UEC program facilitates the pathway for students who pursue the Society of Actuaries (SOA) profession by providing opportunities to earn credit for SOA exams.

Graduates of actuarial studies are in high demand. Upon graduation you’ll be ready for a quantitative role in a range of industries including financial services, insurance, and superannuation, and be equipped help businesses, governments, not-for-profit organisations, and individuals make critical decisions for the future.

If you have already completed an undergraduate degree in Actuarial Studies, the Master of Actuarial Studies will allow you to complete courses equivalent to the Foundation Program of the Actuaries Institute. You can also complete the "Actuarial Control Cycle" and "Data Analytics Principles" courses of the Actuary Program.

Dispute Resolution
Conflict and its resolution play a significant role in the lives of individuals, organisations and the professionals who support them. This Master of Laws specialisation will provide you with broad coverage of dispute resolution processes that occur outside the courts. If you're seeking a specialist qualification in dispute resolution theory and practice, this specialisation provides a comprehensive and academically rigorous postgraduate program. 

The program will enable you to develop skills in identifying the underlying issues that shape and inform a range of dispute resolution processes and the ability to think creatively about approaches and solutions to them. The courses, most of which are delivered via experiential, intensive programs, promote interdisciplinary study through exposure to dispute resolution practitioners in various fields.

Through the Bachelor of Psychology (Honours)/Law double degree, you'll develop excellent analytical skills, a capacity for scholarly research and effective oral and written communication skills that will prepare you for a range of careers. Our Law degree encourages a commitment to personal and professional development, ethical practice and social responsibility. This professional degree meets the requirements for accreditation with the Legal Professional Admission Board, while the fifth-year courses in Psychology meet the requirements for provisional registration as a psychologist nationally and associate membership in the Australian Psychological Society.

In the Psychology (Honours) degree, you’ll conduct a major research project under the guidance of one of our expert academic supervisors.
