The Master of Translation and Interpreting at UNSW is a two-year full-time postgraduate degree that allows you to specialise in an area relevant to your professional translating and interpreting ambitions.

This degree combines translation studies and interpreting courses with elective courses from applied linguistics to provide you a complementary and comprehensive language education tailored to your interests. You’ll graduate with the knowledge, skills and appropriate certifications required to work as a professional translator or professional interpreter in Australia and beyond.

The UNSW Master of Engineering Science (Sustainable Systems) postgraduate degree is designed to help you specialise and gain a deeper knowledge across a broad range of disciplines. You’ll examine how engineers discover holistic and effective solutions to unsustainable practices in the modern world.

The degree features a range of exciting topics including sustainable systems engineering, industrial ecology, sustainability and environmental sciences, and sustainability management. UNSW’s Business School’s Master of Commerce Extension (MCom (Ext)) is a postgraduate coursework degree that can be completed in two-years full-time. Designed in consultation with industry, this degree prepares you with a depth of knowledge, a breadth of experience, and the hands-on experience needed to succeed across diverse careers in business.  

With 14 specialisations to choose from, the MCom (Ext) allows you to study one or two areas of business. You’ll then broaden your knowledge through electives that prepare you for future careers, such as analytics or FinTech.

This specialisation takes a different approach – resolving design challenges with cutting-edge technologies. Using various computer languages, you’ll encode decisions and test ideas spanning architecture, design, computer science and engineering.

Learning in studio-based classes, you’ll develop unique and in-demand skills, including 3D modelling, digital geometry, parametric design, responsive environments, and form-making. Become familiar with robotic and digital fabrication using 3D printers and laser cutters or Augmented Reality (AR) / Virtual Reality (VR) headsets to design for the metaverse.

The Master of Infectious Diseases Intelligence takes a cross-sector approach to the prevention and control of infectious diseases. Gain the advanced disciplinary knowledge and skills required to improve population health outcomes in the control of infectious diseases and health emergencies, across a range of contexts and settings. You’ll graduate with an advanced understanding of the public health aspects of infectious disease surveillance and intelligence, outbreak investigation and response, and infection prevention and mitigation.

This program is designed for professionals wanting to gain an advanced understanding of infectious diseases intelligence in the era of emerging disease threats, as well as management approaches for the identification, assessment, prevention and control of infectious diseases.

Develop an advanced and integrated understanding of public health practice. The Master of Public Health will prepare you to identify, understand, prevent and contain disease in populations.
