The Master of Infectious Diseases Intelligence (MIDI) (Extension) prepares you for a career in health emergencies, outbreaks, infectious diseases risk assessment and emergency response related to infectious diseases and other threats.

If you qualify for advanced standing through Recognised Prior Learning you'll be able to complete both degrees up to a year and a half sooner meaning you could have two postgraduate degrees after just a year and a half.

The UNSW Bachelor of Commerce/Design is a double-degree that can be completed in 4 full-time, or the part-time equivalent.  

Through the Bachelor of Design, you can explore where your creativity takes you. The design skills you’ll learn can be applied across diverse contexts - to shape user experience, create furniture or jewellery, re-invent manufacturing machinery, write code to test industry-changing ideas, and more.

Through optometry, many vision problems and eye diseases can be corrected or managed, restoring sight to people from all walks of life.

Optometrists diagnose vision problems, eye diseases and other eye health issues. These highly skilled professionals correct poor vision and manage or slow degenerative eye diseases with corrective lenses, optical aids, therapy or medication.

The Bachelor of Vision Science/Master of Clinical Optometry provides you with the clinical skills and training required to gain registration to practice optometry. It combines the theoretical discipline of vision science with the clinical expertise of primary eye care.

Along with the theoretical aspects of education, we place great importance on practical experience. In your final two years, you will develop skills in classroom competence and spend up to 80 days in supervised teaching in at least two secondary-school contexts.

This degree is accredited by NSW Education Standards Authority as an initial teaching qualification for both government and non-government secondary schools throughout Australia and is widely accepted as a teaching qualification internationally.
