The Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) has been designed with consultation from industry to set you up for lifelong employability. By combining your BCom with a Bachelor of Arts, you can choose from a diverse range of majors and subjects in the arts, humanities and social sciences. You'll develop an in-depth knowledge and breadth of understanding, gaining the tools to think critically, communicate effectively and conduct independent research.

The Bachelor of Social Sciences is a three-year degree when studied full time. As you prepare for a career with real and meaningful impact, you'll discover how to bring about positive change through critical analysis and political influence.

Social scientists inform public debate and shape the policies that affect society. They analyse and understand myriad political, international, social, environmental, and economic challenges through social research skills and real-life experience.

The Master of Information Technology/Master of Commerce is the first of its kind and was designed by two leaders in their field of education, UNSW Engineering and UNSW Business School, and in consultation with industry and employers and most importantly, you. This degree is ideal for people with very specific or niche interests as there are 21 specialisations to choose from. This postgraduate double degree will upskill you in your discipline specific skills as well as broad business skills such as Management, Leadership and Problem Solving at an organisation level. The Master of Information Technology provides a broad-based IT education, and more specialised knowledge in up to two areas, enabling you to work in a range of positions in the IT industry.

Both degrees allow you to specialise, choosing from a range of disciplines, to pursue your career ambitions. This program will enable you to graduate with two Masters degrees after three years. If you qualify for advanced standing through Recognised Prior Learning you'll be able to complete both degrees up to a year and a half sooner meaning you could have two postgraduate degrees after just a year and a half.

The Master of Global Health (Extension)/Master of Public Health offers an innovative approach to postgraduate health education, enabling you to specialise in public health in international developing country contexts as well as Australia and other developed countries.

The Master of Global Health (Extension) provides an opportunity for high-achieving students to extend their studies by completing additional courses and a research project in global health. The Master of Public Health is recognised as essential for a career in population health. Media Studies (Major)
During your media studies programs at UNSW, you’ll learn how to demonstrate creativity, rigour, adaptability, independence and cultural reflexivity in the application of media studies concepts and methods. On top of this, you will be able to critically analyse the evolving media landscape in relation to historical, social, political, material, and theoretical contexts, including settler colonialism. Deploying a critically informed approach, you’ll dive deep into hot topics, including ethics, justice, and social engagement in media practices, industries, and contexts. Electrical Engineering encompasses research, design, development, manufacturing and management of complex systems for many different uses. You'll work on mobile phone infrastructure or electricity wires that power cities.

This degree focuses on design, development, manufacturing and management of complex hardware and software systems, and reliable cost-effective devices. This involves the use of new information and computer-intensive technologies. Key courses include telecommunications, photonics, systems and control, energy systems, microelectronics and signal processing.
