Nuclear Medicine Technology
Saint Louis University's Bachelor of Science in Nuclear Medicine Technology (NMT) prepares graduates for entry-level positions as nuclear medicine technologists.
Nuclear medicine is a medical specialty that uses safe, painless and cost-effective techniques to image the body and treat disease. Nuclear medicine uses very small amounts of radioactive materials to diagnose and treat disease using gamma or PET/CT scanners. Nuclear medicine imaging is unique in that it documents organ function and structure. It is a method of gathering information that may otherwise be unavailable, require surgery or necessitate more expensive diagnostic tests.

At Saint Louis University’s Parks College of Engineering, Aviation and Technology, we have developed an innovative mechanical engineering curriculum that provides hands-on experiences complementing theoretical knowledge. Our students work with fluids, thermal, material, structural testing, mechatronics and robotics equipment, which provides an excellent opportunity to integrate theory with real-world applications.

Physics is the branch of science that studies the nature of matter, energy and space-time at the most fundamental level. It provides a foundation for all the natural sciences and engineering disciplines. The study of classical humanities, offered by Saint Louis University's Department of Languages, Literatures and Cultures, is designed for students seeking firm foundations and interdisciplinary depth in their liberal arts education. Master of Arts in Teaching (M.A.T.) with alternative certification is designed to enable students who have undergraduate degrees in content areas and were not education majors to seek Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education certification via an alternative route. This degree is designed to offer students expanded knowledge in content areas and pedagogy, current educational practices, and the processes of teaching and learning.
