Nuclear medicine is a medical specialty that uses safe, painless and cost-effective techniques to image the body and treat disease. Nuclear medicine uses very small amounts of radioactive materials to diagnose and treat disease using gamma or PET/CT scanners. Nuclear medicine imaging is unique in that it documents organ function and structure. It is a method of gathering information that may otherwise be unavailable, require surgery or necessitate more expensive diagnostic tests.

Electrical Engineering
At Saint Louis University’s Parks College of Engineering, Aviation and Technology, we have developed a unique, hands-on electrical engineering program that incorporates analysis, design and development of electrical systems.

Radiation Therapy

Biomedical Engineering
At Saint Louis University’s Parks College of Engineering, Aviation and Technology, we have developed an innovative, future-focused biomedical engineering program that incorporates the latest trends in the industry to address the current and future needs of the profession and our society.

Our curriculum has a strong focus on the principles of both engineering and medicine. As a student in the biomedical engineering program at SLU, you will be challenged to integrate your knowledge of the biological and physical sciences with the engineering skills you are developing by participating in hands-on projects inside and outside the classroom. In addition, the flexibility of the biomedical engineering program means it can accommodate students with a wide variety of interests.

Anthropology is the study of humans. The anthropological endeavor involves both the sociocultural and biological aspects of humankind. The study of anthropology requires a holistic approach; it is comprehensive, inclusive and integrates information from many different areas of study through ethnographic, biological, cross-cultural, archaeological and sociological inquiries.

Investigative and Medical Sciences
Saint Louis University's investigative and medical sciences (IMS) program meets the needs of students considering any of a wide variety of career paths in the health sciences. It is designed mainly as a pre-professional program for students looking to advance in health care education and is ideal preparation for medical, physician assistant, dental, pharmacy, optometry or other health-related graduate programs.

Courses in SLU's philosophy graduate program examine historical as well as contemporary issues such as problems in metaphysics, epistemology, social and political ethics, and philosophy of religion, among others.

In addition to the Master of Arts in Educational Leadership, a master's degree with a concentration in Catholic education is offered. The Catholic education concentration is designed to prepare students for school-level leadership positions, most commonly principalship in Catholic elementary, middle and high schools, as well as teacher leadership. Coursework engages students with the unique aspects of Catholic educational leadership, including spiritual leadership and the vocation of a Catholic school leader and non-public school administration such as funding mechanisms and applicable laws, while preparing students to take the Missouri assessments for principal certi?cation.

The degree requires a completion of 32 credits of coursework and culmination examinations. The Catholic education concentration requires completion of 33 credits of coursework. An additional three-credit internship is required for Catholic education students wishing to pursue Missouri Principal Certification.
