Communities and organizations in the 21st century require professionals with interdisciplinary skills and preparation to handle many complex challenges. The Master of Arts in Criminology and Criminal Justice (MACCJ) degree prepares students to meet these challenges by providing them with a core criminological knowledge foundation and the opportunity to gain further skills and enhance their graduate education by selecting one of three diverse concentrations:

• Administration of Justice
• Emergency Management
• Treatment and Rehabilitation

The MACCJ degree prepares graduates to be advanced practitioners in a variety of community and justice agency/organizational settings. The program is offered in variable formats: most classes are offered on campus in the evening but one concentration, emergency management, is currently offered online only.

International Studies
Saint Louis University's undergraduate degree in international studies is offered through the College of Arts and Science's Political Science department. The program offers students the opportunity to focus both on a specific region of the world as well as a specific topic or theme including arts and culture, environment and health, economics and development, or war and peace.

Physics

It provides a foundation for all the natural sciences and engineering disciplines. Physics has brought such revolutions as relativity, quantum mechanics and the Big Bang theory, profoundly altering the way mankind views the universe.

Saint Louis University's Master of Arts in Women’s and Gender Studies provides an interdisciplinary education about contemporary social justice issues, preparing students for leadership and advocacy roles in community or academic settings.

While gender is the primary focus, each course and the discipline as a whole examine gender in light of race, ethnicity, class, sexual identity, ability, age and religion. The discipline teaches students to think critically and to engage in the world as responsible citizens.

Saint Louis University's College for Public Health and Social Justice is committed to social justice and the Jesuit mission as the only accredited Catholic, Jesuit school of public health in the nation. Students who graduate from SLU's College for Public Health and Social Justice pass the Certified Public Health exam at significantly higher rates than the national average. Over the past few years, more than 90% of students passed the exam on the first try, as compared to the national average of 75 to 85% annually.

Forensic Science
Forensic science is the scientific method of gathering and analyzing evidence. The forensic science major at Saint Louis University is an interdisciplinary program that employs the methods, tools and perspectives of biology, chemistry, anthropology, sociology, physics, mathematics and medicine to better understand the intersection of law and science.

Biostatistics
Saint Louis University's Bachelor of Science in Biostatistics degree is offered through the College for Public Health and Social Justice, which is accredited by the Council on Education for Public Health. Using the American Statistical Association's guidelines for undergraduate data science programs, the curriculum trains students in the management, analysis, and interpretation of data within the context of public health and health care. Offered through SLU's School for Professional Studies and designed for students seeking careers in the intelligence field, as well as those who already work in intelligence collection, analysis, or dissemination, this program prepares you to adapt your education and skills to real-world scenarios that require both a technical analysis and an operational implementation. 

Saint Louis University's Master of Science in Applied Financial Economics (M.S.-AFE) at the Richard A. Chaifetz School of Business is a one-of-a-kind program in the region that responds to the market need for individuals to enter the labor market with a set of applied technical skills.

Saint Louis University's Master of Science in Applied Financial Economics is a quantitative-based, applied program that focuses on analysis and forecasting of financial variables such as interest rates, stock returns and their effects on financial markets. It responds to the market need for individuals to enter the labor market with a set of applied technical skills.

The M.S.-AFE program consists of 30 credits that can be completed full time in as little as one calendar year. As a prerequisite, the program also requires nine credits of foundation coursework in economics, accounting and applied business statistics, part or all of which may be waived for students demonstrating competency through previously completed coursework. No work experience is required, which means that students can transition into the program upon achieving their undergraduate degree.
