Environmental Studies

Fieldwork and Research Opportunities
SLU's program offers students a practice-integrated education, including a 12-week internship with senior leaders in many of the nation's top health systems and health care organizations. Internship experiences are based on students' individual goals, objectives and preferences. Students are transformed into knowledgeable, ethical professionals prepared for a range of management careers across the health sector. Applied, practical projects are an important means of professional growth. In addition to the internship between years one and two of the program, students will work on multiple applied projects throughout the curriculum.

English
Writing is central to all aspects of Saint Louis University's program in English. In all English courses, students hone their ability to write and to reflect upon what they read. 

Along with courses in literature in which critical and analytical writing plays a principal role, students majoring in English at SLU may take courses in various genres of creative writing or business and professional writing. These courses enhance both personal creativity and professional competence. The Center for Advanced Dental Education (CADE) at Saint Louis University offers a program in the specialty of endodontics that leads to the Master of Science in Dentistry degree and a certificate in endodontics. This program is offered in close affiliation with the Missouri School of Dentistry and Oral Health AT Still University. Criminology and criminal justice (CCJ) are fields of study that incorporate an interdisciplinary perspective to examine the causes and correlates of criminal behavior as well as the institutions that respond to such behavior. A degree in criminology and criminal justice provides a comprehensive academic foundation into the nature of criminal offending, victimization, law enforcement, court administration, the law, and both community and institutional corrections.
